La Berangerie was a perfect spot to spend a few days surrounded by nature and an incredible view of mountains and the City of Grenoble. The place was clean, comfortable, and with access to a small shopping center 3 minutes away.

The couch could have been more comfortable.

Very accomodating. We called them before checkin time and the good people came out and let us checkin outside oc ghe guidelines. And they are super friendly

The outdoor patio area was nice. Franco was lovely and helpful.

The whole hotel was run down, in desperate need of renovation. The carpets are torn, dirty. You can hear constant banging and furniture scraping, it's relentless. The bedroom was filthy, the tiny bathroom was very dirty and no space to sit on the toilet, you have to sit at a sideways angle twisting your back to retrieve the cheap toilet roll. The half sized bath would be better replaced with a shower cubicle. You could not cook a meal for 4 in that kitchen, there is no cleaning equipment. You had to sit in the sauna for 30 minutes to feel any heat. The pool area was unpleasant. The balcony and whole outside of the building is rotting and peeling with no furniture not even a chair to sit out. There was one small heater for the whole apartment which didn't heat it sufficiently. The bunk bed area was very small on a narrow corridor with the toilet door opposite . We were all sneezing and had nose bleeds due to the dust. On the final sweep through when cleaning before leaving, which you must do to obtain the deposit back, there was a considerable amount of hair and dirt behind the curtains. Now onto the staff who's customer service leaves a lot to be desired. We were greeted by a €250 security deposit forced upon us, which wasn't mentioned on booking . Com. The manager told us if we didn't pay it we wouldn't be able to stay. The money was taken from my account, this would leave you short if you were relying on the funds. Auriele was very rude, when I asked if she knows what time the last bus is she snapped I don't know I dont take the bus. In the evening her female colleague was pointing and laughing at us, making us feel very uncomfortable. The only nice staff member was Franco who was lovely and very helpful. I think this hotel would be more appropriate as a 1* than 3*.
