We have stayed before but not in the annex but disappointed with the booking.com description of the supérieur room as a garden view as w knew the property and did not expect to pay for a superior room with a view of the house next door . Also on booking it states all taxes and charges included in the price we paid but do not state that France and other européen countries you have tax sejour . We are aware of this tax as we live abroad but the booking website is very misleading stating all taxes and charges included in the price .

That a supérieur room did not have coffee making facilities.

We arrived unplanned at this wonderful location after a previous booking at another establishment was totally unsuitable. Such a delight to see such a super place with very welcoming staff. We spoke both in French and English so it is great for guests who don't speak the language, to know that it is a bilingual hotel. The restaurant was fabulous, being sophisticated with very friendly staff offering a superb service. The food was exquisite for appreciative diners. Had a newly refurbished bedroom, with very comfortable beds and a modern bathroom/power shower

The light in the hall didn't turn on automatically when leaving the lift, I think the PIR sensor didnt work. The hall lights are operated by pressing the switch outside the bedroom door, but from the lift/stairs, I had to use my phone torch. Just a small complaint

Excellent dinner. Breakfast might have had a cooked element, such as bacon.

Generally all excellent and a lovely place to stay. Just a shame about all the building work in the Orangerie. The room was nice and warm but the rest of the building was not.

The chateau is small, beautiful and well maintained. The annex with bedrooms is of a high standard. The evening dinner was, sincerely, a really special meal at a reasonable price. The staff were pleasant and professional. I would definitely stay again.

there were no tea/coffee facilities in the room which is always a nice thing to have and this was missing for me, but the rest of the stay was faultless.

The room was nice, nothing special though, rather basic facilities (f.e. no body lotion or hair conditioner provided). The breakfast was good, no huge variety but fresh fruits of good quality, nice and friendly staff. The food and the ambiance of the restaurant was really good.

The room was noisy and uncomfortable because of repair works outside from our window starting every morning at 08h30.

It’s a marvelous house in the countryside, half an hour from Lyon. It’s a piece of French history we were able to see! We were traveling for the first time with our baby Scottish Terrier: couldn’t have been better for the 3 of us!

Staff were super , we had some special needs and they dealt with those very professionally. The spa is lovely and high quality treatments.

Then Orangerie is really just a side building. The rooms are nice but the entrance is a bit of a let down. The restaurant service was excellent but the food not as good as the menu promised.

the staff were exceptional Helena on reception welcomed us after our long drive and served us wine on the terrace The dinner was lovely and we had wonderful wine and meal as well as super service again

the room was clean but a little tiered and the swimming pool wasn’t open some of the quirky features such as giant teddy bears in hall and plastic hippo on lawn slightly took away from the romantic château experience we had hope for the accommodation wasn’t in the château itself but in a purpose built block called the orangery

Beautiful place, lovely supper and very kind staff! The rooms are modern and extremely comfortable. I would stay again. Good cycle path to Périgueux.

The pool is not in the sun after 4pm in late September.

the room was ordinary, brown colours and not much decoration. However, the bathroom was of good size, well appointed feeling very comfortable, a nice room to be in.. We took dinner in the main restaurant and not in the glass covered L'orangerie, the meal was superb, the staff were helpful, and friendly.

We were at the back of the L'orangerie with no view at all , just the vieew of the back of a house and a bit of garden. the room was quite small but we assume because we travelled with a dog that we won't get a premium room, We accept this as we appreciate any hotel that allows dogs into the rooms and we are very thankful that they do. We would stay there again with no hesitation.
