Without question, the most welcoming and perfect start to our holiday in the Dordogne. Werner & Gaby are the most professional & attentive hosts we've ever had the pleasure of staying with. From a superb 4 course evening meal (putting most restaurants to shame)to the most outstanding & welcomed morning breakfast with home made yogurts & jams. Gaby n Werner (& of course Kiki the Chihuahua) thank you. You were & are great at what you do. X

There was nothing we didn't like about our stay at Werner n Gaby's but unfortunately Booking.com insists on me writing some waffle to fill up 2 lines. Let's hope this does the trick.....

The whole property was perfect - the location, decor, cleanliness, swimming pool and terrace, plus the peace & quiet of the setting. We booked two double bedrooms and they were both superb. Breakfast was an unexpected highlight, with freshly made bread, jams and yoghurts as well as pastries and fresh coffee. Unfortunately we didn't take up the option of having our evening meal at the property, however the hosts were able to recommend a local restaurant (in nearby Riberac) and arranged a table booking on our behalf. We will certainly try to find an excuse to stay here if we are ever in this part of France again.

This is a lovely property, with a spectacular surprise for those who stay there. Breakfast was varied, plentiful and tasty, with the bonus of eggs to freshly boil; great coffee, too. Gaby and Werner are very nice hosts that are keen for guests to have a good experience staying with them.

Our en-suite in 'Marguerite' was rather 'quirky', and a bit of a struggle for a big bloke! Access to parking was not so easy in the dark, so have a torch to hand!

we just want to thank the wonderful hosts at Le Moulin Bertrand for such a wonderful stay. the property is absolutely beautiful, filled with special antiques telling a tale of history. We was made to feel so welcome and the hosts went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. A buffet breakfast was provided which was made with extra love and care (I absolutely loved the homemade bread especially). our room was wonderful and immaculate, as well as the bathroom which was beautifully laid out with plenty of space and clean facilities. we was even provided with our own robes and towels which was really lovely. The property is located in a peaceful area, surrounded by beautiful scenery and gives a great insight to nature around. the pool area is also a lovely place to relax and is very clean! we are very grateful to have experienced such a lovely stay, and we can’t wait to visit again in the future with family who are also excited to visit Le Moulin Bertrand. thank you for having us, we are so delighted to have visited your property. see you soon! Beautiful room, thank you for the upgrade. Wonderful evening meals available, taken indoors or outside in the garden. Thank you Gaby for adapting your menu to suit my gluten free diet. Lovely pool area with sunloungers, shade, picnic table and honestly bar. Be sure to visit beautiful Brantome approx 35 mins away by car.

Great hotel with great hosts, Gaby and Werner made us feel very welcome. The evening meal we had was worthy off a top restaurant, and the breakfasts are plentiful with lovely home made bread.We wouldn’t hesitate to book again, maybe in the summer so we can use the swimming pool.

The breakfast was made and served with love different and delicious each mornin, fresh pressed juice, fresh strawberries, different hams and cheeses etc etc. Cotton ironed tissues and everything prepared for all guests in advance just arrive and start your meal.

Le Moulin Bertrand is a beautiful, peaceful, and wonderful stay! Gaby and Werner were great hosts, and they provided a delightful breakfast! The property and gardens are beautiful, and we will be back to stay again!

Fantastic stay. Make sure to ask for dinner! Gaby cooked an incredible 3 course meal. Very accommodating for a young(ish) family with a 1 year old.
