Perfect location, the room was ok, very good shower and having AC is a big plus. Our room was at the back, so the view was not much basically looking at a cliff. That said in this sunny weather it helped keeping the room temperature down. A room in the front would have one of the better view in town. The staff was great and the terrace bar/restaurant is good.

It’s strange that the reception closes so early, as the bar is open in to the evening. As others have said the elevator is closed in the evening and night, which can be an issue for some people. I did not like the bed, that is a personal view. That said the bed was clean and in good condition.

Location excellent, across from the river. Room light, airy, spotlessly clean. Air conditioning was a godsend during heatwave. Breakfast nice, but not “wow”. Lunch was very good, on terrace by river. Staff good, particularly Gwen, who really looked after us.

Since our previous visit ownership has changed. Couple of things were a bit disappointing: We could no longer have breakfast by the river, which we loved on previous visits. We understand the practicalities, but it was a highlight of our previous stays. The whole place closes at 7pm, and entry is by door code. No access to lift after that, so stairs a slight problem for us “oldies”. Other than that, Le Coligny seems to be running well.

Room size was big and comfortable bed and nice shower. Location in Brantome was why I initially chose it. It had a lift to floor lower than our floor where room was so some stairs to climb.

Communication could have been better. Was not told that there was a theme park set up right out front that went to 11pm at night. Hotel should have advised us when they found this out and offered opportunity to cancel. We had to park further away and lug our luggage to the hotel. Not great. Could also hear the noise from festivities outside.

The hotel staff was unbelievably pleasant and kind, ready to help you with anything you needed, I feel completely relaxed and comfortable, an amazing small village, I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The incredibly kind gentleman welcomed you and assisted daily the guests, They know their guests by their names, and make you feel like at home. A great location. Brantôme is beautiful. Our room had a little balcony and overlooked the river and the abbey. The staff were welcoming and we had a pleasant meal there in the evening - very generous portions!

Parking was a bit tricky as there are limited spaces outside the property. It was a very sunny day at the weekend so this probably made it a bit more difficult. However, we eventually managed to secure one, but not before a local gendarme helped us to find another spot elsewhere for a while - so kind!☺

Superb location. Comfortable bed and quiet room. Good shower in en suite bathroom. Staff were very helpful and gave us good tips for parking which was on street close by. We didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that or the restaurant. The bar in the hotel looked good but we didn’t use that either as wanted to see the town. The tables and chairs outside the front of the hotel had a lovely outlook over the town and river.

The lady who runs the place deserves a medal. She really made our anniversary trip special. Great value for money. Right on the river. It's a 3* place, so if you want to spend 200 Euro, go to the Abbey instead. But this hotel is clean, perfect location, great staff. 10/10

Owner should pay his staff more !

Location is perfect with the beautiful river at your front door and possibly viewable from your room (although not mine). Room was spacious with a comfortable bed, large shower/toilet, and noisy but effective air conditioning.

Despite being advertised as hotel there is no formal reception area, rather the ground floor is a restaurant/bar. Top of bed headboard quite dusty.

Perfectly located for our two day stay. Right in the middle of things on one side of the Dronne River. Restaurants were plentiful and just a short walk away as well as activities such as shopping, kayaking, and historical monuments. Night walks are magical. Dany, the owner, was a delightful host and very accommodating. The room was comfortable and the bath area was modern.

The only issue is the squeaking noise from the room above. Unfortunately nothing can be done about that and it did not distract from the stay.

We have a lovely one night stay whilst travelling through the region at Le Coligny. The hotel is in a fantastic location in the heart of Brantome to explore. The staff were very friendly and were eager to be helpful. The room itself, whilst a little tired, was exceptionally clean and fitted with a new bathroom. The hotel is fantastic value for money.
