Our hosts Ina, Uwe and Lisa were wonderful. Very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts of croissants, breads, eggs, meats and cheeses were delightful in the outdoor setting under big umbrellas. The pool was terrific during out hot days, the swim in the pristine river at the end of the paddock was very refreshing.

The chateau is quite original and the owners are doing a great job of restoring, however there are lots of creaks and noises so it could disturb light sleepers. The chateau is not in walking distance of any village so a car is a must.

Such a peaceful setting with beautiful grounds and a lovely swimming pool… although the weather was cool during our stay my husband managed a swim each day! The house and rooms are beautifully decorated and they are spacious with a lovely bathroom. Location is good for getting to all the main tourist attractions and there are a few good restaurants a short drive away. Breakfast was amazing.. fresh croissants and bread every day with cheeses, charcuterie cereals, yogurt and fruit plus an egg of your choice!!! It certainly set us up for the day . And of course Ina and Uwe were exceptional hosts.. we even had a fire 2 mornings due to it being uncharacteristically cold in early September!! Thank you for a very relaxing 3days

Wow, wow, wow sums up the words in your head when you arrive at La Rochette and those expressions of awe do not stop there. As soon as we got out of the car and were welcomed by Uwe waving from the downstairs window and Ina from the top, we knew we were in for something very special…. We were not disappointed. Our room, the house, the vast grounds, the swimming pool, the area, but most of all the hosts were truly special. Driving around the French countryside, visiting beautiful villages and towns and eating the most exquisite food were just some of the reasons we didn’t want to leave. When you add canoeing on the river surrounding the land (setting off from the private beach on the banks) and having a dip in the pool, what more can anyone ask for. Well, you could ask for hosts who go above and beyond to make your stay special, their home is your home. So, for just a few days, why not indulge yourself in all that is wonderful about rural France and allow your self some luxury at La Rochette. We cannot wait to go back, thank you Ina and Uwe for creating such special memories.

What to say? Everything was just what we hoped for, but better! The warm Welcome, friendly and professional, the comfortable Bedroom and en-suite Bathroom, Breakfast - a beautifully kept Property with Owners who really do their best to make their guests feel Welcome and well looked after. THANK YOU, we will certainly try to return to Chateau La Rochette.

La Rochette is a beautiful property in lovely grounds. The interior is immaculate with antique features and character. Our room was spacious with a large and luxurious bathroom. The hosts were wonderful and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious 😄

Absolutely stunning chateau and grounds. Made to feel welcome by Uwe,Ena and Lisa and as soon as we arrived. Super breakfast, everything fresh that day. If you want to relax in a beautiful setting with perfect hosts, then this is the place to stay.

When we arrived we were amazed at the size of our room and on-suit bathroom which was decorated to a high standard and very in keeping with the chateaux. Buffett-style breakfast daily, plus hosts made us boiled eggs fresh every day too. The chateaux and its grounds are beautiful, peaceful, and comfortable. The hosts are great, picking us up from the local restaurant and inviting us to share wine with them in the evening. Very relaxing and on the river Dronne where we were able to canoe at a local site 5 min down the road.

Difficulty with phone signal, but this is not always a bad thing especially if you want peace and quiet. The location is off the beaten track with a 20-minute walk or 5-minute drive to the nearest village.

The chateau was amazing, it has been decorated very tastefully and in keeping with the surroundings. The new pool was really nice. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming, even drove us to the local restaurant and back when we were unable to get a taxi. Choice of breakfast, cereal, cold meats & cheese, eggs, croissants, juice, tea, and coffee. Buffet style help yourself and eat outside (inside the dining room if raining). The location is just outside the village which is great if you want peace and quiet. Lots of places to visit but its ideal to have a car to get about.

Our hosts were great and really made us feel welcome, the Chateau is amazing and a beautiful place to relax. Great choice of continental breakfast every morning, with freshly cooked eggs as an option, sitting out on the terrace.
