The room was very pleasant and within walking distance from the Main Street in the tiny, but spectacular town. We were fortunate (and unfortunate enough) to arrive on the evening of a village festival, which resulted in live music and plenty of people-watching opportunities from our wonderful restaurant. It also meant that we could not take the most direct route to our hotel, but when we called our hostess, she walked all the way down to where we were stopped to guide us to her home. Breakfast was delicious. We would have liked to stay longer.

Parking was on the street (no surprise) a fair distance from the property and not easy to obtain. Getting out of our parking spot the next morning was terrifying, as we had to turn around in a tiny paved area between a wall, another car, and a steep drop-off. Fortunately we were able to find a safer spot when we returned that afternoon.

I loved this real maison de village and felt part of the town. The proprietor Dany is wonderfully caring and went far out of her way. The rooms are large and airy in summer. And I slept deeply. The location could not be more central, yet very private.

Parking in the village is tricky so prior advice on how to get to the closest parking to the property would be helpful. We were happy with cooling by fan but some might want air con.

The property was quirky, but we had a nice clean room and shower facilities were adequate and very close to the centre Cotignac , but the host was very helpful. Lovely and extremely friendly.

The entrance was very dark, and the stairs, where steep and twisty not suitable for infirm people.
