We loved the owners passion for his Chateau, he was friendly and helpful and very accommodating. We loved the pool, the breakfast, the grounds, and lots of original features in the chateau - four poster beds, wooden spiral staircases and the traditional breakfast room. Also the village of Esvres was lovely - round of crepes and tradi pizza were excellent for dinner, also if you have kids there is an excellent large park with basketball court and skate park - great for all ages (locates to the north of the village). The interiors might not be what you are expecting in a chateau, but the owners have clearly tried to make it a unique stay!

We liked the scenery and the amazing pool! Clean & large area with loungers, tables, fridge & kitchenette to access. Beautiful treed property with trails & greenery, very well kept. Common patio area with chairs & tables. Very kind and helpful owners, they were very responsive, organized, accommodating & welcoming. They even called down to a restaurant in town to make a dinner reservation for us. Try the Beer Spa experience in a 15th century pigeonniere, really special as it’s one of the only ones in France! Breakfast was served in a beautiful large room with plentiful options. Very spacious charming suites with modern bathrooms & amenities, excellent hot shower with good water pressure. Great location for visiting chateaux. You will not regret booking here!

Nothing it was amazing, other than the kids beds were a bit too short for tall teenagers. Not a problem for us, but be aware that some suites are accessed via steep stairs.

We had an unforgettable experience in Chateau de Vaugrignon! Nestled in an historic building, the unique setting adds a magical touch to your stay, with breathtaking views that create the perfect backdrop for relaxation. Emmanuel, the host, was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home throughout our visit. The home-style breakfast was a delightful touch. Additionally, I highly recommend the unique beer spa experience. It was unlike anything we've ever tried before, providing a fun and relaxing way to unwind.

The beds in the second bedroom with an antique design were a bit short, making them more suitable for kids or teenagers than for grown-ups. However, this minor detail did not spoil our overall impression whatsoever.

I might have missed the information, but I assumed we would be able to use the swimming pool in the morning of our departure before 12 noon so we arrived later on check in day. However only open 2-9pm so we only had use of it for half an hour. Assumed we would be able to use the pool 10am-12noon on the day of departure.

Wonderful start to our holiday. Chosen as overnight stop due to its proximity to A10 autoroute but beautiful c h ateau in fantastic location. Comfortable rooms for family of five. Rooms had wifi and en suite. Swimming pool open until 9pm. Parking in grounds for car with roofbox. There is no restaurant but a short walk into Esvres where there are shops and pizzeria. Warm reception from Emmanuel and his wife and fantastic breakfast with homemade jams. Look forward to a return visit

The owners greeted us and gave us all the information we needed. The pool was lovely and clean and we were provided with towels. We also had access to kitchen facilities and a fridge as we arrived late and could prepare our own supper. The breakfast was excellent, with delicious croissants, homemade conserves, wonderful teas and delicious pancakes and eggs and bacon! Accommodation very well maintained and full of character

Great location, lovely grounds, stunning old house and annexes which are all just amazing. The host was super friendly and gave us the tour we needed to understand where everything is such as pool, breakfast area. Fans are in the rooms to help keep you cooler in hot weather. Tours centre is around 20-25mins away.

There was nothing not to like, however be aware if you are tall. There are low beams around one of which I walked into!

The chateau is really stunning, immersed in what were 200ha of woods belonging to Emmanuel's family. He still has "only" 20 :). We stayed in the duplex which is perfect for a large family. Breakfast is great with tables all set with fine crockery and cutlery and table cloths! The home made jams are the icing on the cake! Nice sized pool. The kids enjoyed it. Highly recommended a walk in the garden and park with the creek and the little lake, just so relaxing and beautiful

Nothing really but you need to get used to a very laid back approach which may not suit everyone. A little bit more daily attention to the area surrounding the pool (the kitchen and the covered table area)

Emmanuelle and his wife were excellent hosts, very warm, caring, and helpful. The chateau is in the midst of the small town of Esvres ,a perfect location to experience the Loire valley ...with over 40 historical chateau, vineyards and there are some excellent restaurants nearby.
