The room was very spacious with a very royal decoration. Very nearby from the main restaurant downstairs making it very convenient to move around.

The room was a bit cold. The decoration being yes very palace oriented, yet could be updated a bit more (it could use an upgrade in style of the fabrics, carpet etc) The toilet had a bit of strange configuration, since the shower and bath tub were incorporated together but in a non very functional way. The restaurant though was a bit over-prized and with the new offer they have for weekend brunch, was all packed and very difficult to get the staff attention. However they were always nice and were trying to serve the guest despite of the circumstances.

Great location for exploring the Loire Valley. Wonderful chateau. Room was giant by French sizes. AC was there, but we didn't need it as it was zero degrees! The room was quite comfortable, as was the bed. The breakfast was very good as well, pretty much everything we might have wanted. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, the people were nice and would most certainly go back again and recommend our friends go if they were heading there.

Couple of issues: The room with the toilet was tiny and the bidet leaked on the floor. And the spa was nice with a warm wading pool / jacuzzi , a sauna and a hammam, but we arrived about 7 one night and there was no one there, which was kind of a problem because the sauna and hammam (Turkish bath) had turned themselves off and I walked around for 15 minutes until someone came to assist.

The Restaurant was superb, Fine dining. The Chateau was marvellous with old charm feel. The room service could improve a little with more options

We were staying for a week there and we tried to book a spa session however we were told it was booked out for the month. There should be some spaces available to guests staying at the time.

Fabulous setting, glamour, grandeur with old school manners, and politeness. A total treat, calm, relaxing, and peaceful. A beautiful hotel. Breakfast was thoroughly delicious and served in a delightful restaurant. The staff were friendly, polite, and properly trained. The service was professional and not intrusive. All round a lovely stay.

No fresh milk for tea, and I have no idea how to use a pod coffee machine, for which there were no instructions.

Love the ambiance, very private and comfortable, we were lucky to go during the lean season so the concierge was gracious enough to upgrade our room and we felt we had the whole place to ourselves. All employees were friendly and helpful and always smiling. Service is impeccable! We felt like royalty too!

A bit far from the station and all the plaves so pricey to go around

Our room was upgraded. Fantastic view. Room not massive but 'aristocratic' with a terrific view from the window. There is a fridge, security safe and Aircon. Fantastic restaurant (but pricy). Typical continental breakfast, not bad but typically poor coffee.

The Breakfast coffee was poor. The cost of breakfast is too high for what it is. Next time I might explore the nearby village for breakfast. You probably need your own transport to visit the village. The bathroom window had no guard when open. Its a big window!. If i had children I would be weary.

Amazing sense of space, especially large window onto open grounds from room 21. Could sit watching out the window forever. The whole chateau was elegant and tranquil. All very restful. As well a a good position for exploring the area.

It felt in need of a program of renovation in the bathrooms, by the pool etc to bring it up to modern five star standards. The suite we were offered in the pavilion was claustrophobic. The balcony was too close to large trees. The duluxe room we had in the main chateau was far better. The breakfast was disappointing - coffee from a machine, ok food offering, but nothing special. For a longer stay, the menu in the restaurant, although excellent, was limited. Some bar food for lunch rather than the same dinner menu would help.

A stay in a French chateau has always been on our bucket list and we took the opportunity during our recent French roadtrip. D'artigny was located ideally near places we were visiting in the Loire, with ample free parking, restaurant and facilities with plenty of character and history.

Being somewhat casual Australians, we found the strict staff hierarchy in the restaurant a bit frustrating but nether the less, thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

The location and the views are simply gorgeous, with a beautiful old-growth park and large grounds to walk around. The architecture and rooms are quite impressive as well and ideal for a romantic getaway

The meals, while served in a very high-quality ambiance by highly trained staff, could do with updating. The food was technically refined, but effectively a little dull and uncreative considering the price.

Charming staff, very good food and lovely setting. The chateau is a fascinating building - do have a look at the amazing ceiling in the central first floor salon.

We had a magnificently sized room with a massive fireplace. This had been used to form the bathroom and separate loo. While both were perfectly clean and with excellent quality towels, they were showing their age and the lack of bathroom space - roughly 40 cm between bath and wall - made for a tight squeeze when exiting bath and shower.
