Room was massive, with a bed so comfortable that I slept like a rock. However, the miraculous slumber did not last long as I had to wake up for the wedding brunch on Sunday morning. Perhaps the sleep quality was even more remarkable given that I had been absolutely filled to the brim with Champagne and wine, which typically results in a terrible sleep regime.

The entrance to the parking can be a little unintuitive, but then again I may have to admit some incompetence on my driving given exhaustion from a full day's travels.

Love this hotel as it's so handy to break up our long journey from Calais to Limoges. We have been here twice before, and both times our room was in the annexe, the rooms are very basic but newly refurbished. This time we were in the main building, our room was excellent and also newly refurbished to a very good standard, with a huge comfy bed. Evreux is a lovely town with lots of shops and restaurants, with the hotel being just a few hundred yards from the centre of the town and the wonderful Cathedral.

Same complaint as with most other hotels these days... no tea or coffee making facilities in the room....I know.. it's a British thing!! Also, I couldn't get the shower to run with hot water it was just luke warm. Although not ideal, this is not enough to put us off returning to this hotel on our next visit to our place in France

The room was large and the bed is big and comfy. Very clean with lots of hot water. Secure Parking is available inside at a reasonable 6 Euro. A 2 minute walk into the centre of town, that has lots of bars and restaurants. Reception was self serviced on arrival so just look for your name and room number. I am sure this will change in high season. You pay for parking and Tourist Tax at the hotel. For 2 people and parking for one night it was less than 7 Euro. Lovely old town with free museum at the Cathedral and another next to the Town Hall. Well worth a night stop.

Remember if you are going to be back after 10pm to have the key code for the Gate...... We didn't but did finally manage to get in. Our own fault and not a complaint...

Lovely olde worlde hotel in beautiful Evreux, we had a room in the courtyard, nicely decorated in an industrial style with brick walls and exposed pipework. Lovely modern bathroom with a huge shower. Parking was around the back of the hotel in the garden area by a river. Breakfast was plentiful, and despite the bar not being open when we arrived, we were served drinks in the little reception area.

As with most of the hotels, there were no facilities to make tea/coffee. It wasn't cold when we stayed but we noticed that there was no heating in the room. Everything else was fine

Only one pillow on bed. Would have been nice to have a choice of 1 or 2 so I did have to ask for another one. But for us the big thing missing was a kettle and some coffee or tea in the room. You could only have a beverage if you were having breakfast in the dinner. Shame.

Nice and recently renewed room, spacious and clean, same for the bathroom! The building itself is old (no elevator) but it creates its own charm. Very big and comfy bed! The hotel has a parking for 6,50 per night but 50 m from the hotel there's a free one. Nice location.

There is no AC so we had to keep windows open for the night, it was a bit noisy outside.

Always a pleasure to return to this surprisingly well-appointed hotel in the centre of Evreux. Service is friendly, the refurbished shower rooms are excellent, the rooms are well-sized and the breakfast area is very comfortable.

The road noise when staying in the rooms at the front of the hotel is slightly intrusive, despite the double glazing!

Pleasant hotel in excellent location. Quiet with a very comfortable bed. Secure parking was extremely good. Friendly and helpful staff.

Tea and coffee in room was booked but not provided. However, the excellent reception provided a kettle and tea bags which solved the problem. Rather tired decoration but clean and tidy.

The hotel had plenty of old fashioned character and yet our room was beautifully decorated, comfortable and roomy. The location was excellent, on the edge of the main town as you drive in but with lots of restaurants, bars and the charm of the cathedral and river all an easy walk. Safe parking behind the building was a big plus point, the staff were welcoming and the price very reasonable.

All was good! If it was overly hot and you had to open a window there might be street noise in our front bedroom, so a fan would be a good addition to the room?

Good central location, plenty of parking behind hotel and large grassed area for dog to run, modern room and en suite despite old fashioned traditional look from the outside. Great shower with soap dispenser. Good sized room. Free WiFi, large flat TV, breakfast looked good as we passed by though did not take any (don't eat in morning when travelling).

It may have been me but I thought I booked a double, we got 2 single beds. Did not bother to mention as just pushed them together to make a huge comfortable bed. Only down side was noise from road (minimal after 23.00) as had windows open at night
