Everything was absolutely wonderful! The breakfast was delicious — especially the fresh and tasty fruits. I also really appreciated the option to order additional breakfast items like eggs — they were cooked perfectly and very tasty. The freshly squeezed orange juice was a delightful touch and so refreshing! The service was outstanding. The host, Oleksandra, was incredibly kind and attentive, doing everything to make me feel comfortable and welcome. The interior design was beautiful, and the bed was extremely comfortable — I slept like at home. The towels were soft and pleasant to use. I truly enjoyed my stay and would love to come back again!

My partner and I had a wonderful stop at the Belle Vienne in the heart of Exideuil-sur-Vienne. Although it was just for one night, our host Olexandra was super friendly and helpful and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel was clean and nicely furnished throughout and the breakfast was great. We will certainly stay here again if our travels bring us this way.

Super room, old French style. Lovely to hear the church bells chime the hour and quarters. A nice riverside walk at the end of the road, perfect. Good fresh breakfast

Perfectly situated for our needs.

Stayed here last year and everything was of an exceptionally high standard; room, facilities (kitchen with fridge with cold bottled water, plus tea and coffee), breakfast, host, cleanliness etc. The same on this visit. Also this year the heat was exceptional yet the room(s) remained cool, which was an even bigger bonus. This chambre d’hote, is worth even a detour to stay in. For us we now choose our route south to visit this village and chambre d hote. The village shop, and boulangerie both have lovely owners, and the chambre d’hote is one of the best we have stayed in on our many many trips through France.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this house! The owner is incredibly kind, caring, and welcoming – we felt completely at home. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh fruit, warm pastries, and delicious coffee. The atmosphere was cozy and full of hospitality. We will definitely come back!

Super Host multilingual Joao, greeted us warmly and provided great restaurant recommendation. Room was adorable, lots of white cotton in that very French manner. Quiet and restful house. Very nice private bathroom, good shower and lighting Excellent continental breakfast put together by Joao in the very cozy dining room Beautiful walking town in historic countryside, church bells, river nearby

Things Joao had no control over: Early road traffic more noticeable if your room is on the front of the building. It's normal in Europe to not have aircon so it can be stuffy on a hot summer night. No screens on windows so mosquitoes do have their way with you, if you're prone to being delicious.

Fantastic room, great location, very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. Delicious continental breakfast was included in the extremely reasonable room charge, which set us up for the day. There were tea and coffee facilities free of charge for guests. Our host told us there were a couple of eateries in the village but we decided to buy food for a picnic at the supermarket on our way to the chambre d’hôte and ate it on a picnic table by the Vienne, a short walk from the hotel. Sheer bliss. We enjoyed our stay so much we decided to stay for an extra night and we weren’t disappointed. We will definitely return on our next holiday to France. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Our host spoke excellent English, French and Portuguese and directed us to the local restaurant for a great meal only 200mtrs away. There was the added bonus of a little kitchenette where we could make coffee & tea and use the fridge /freezer to keep things cool. Great location next to the river.

An extra socket for usb charging would be good.

La Belle Vienne is a wonderful B&B. Everything is comfortable, cozy, and clean. We really enjoyed our time here and recommend it highly.
