Disheveled chic, dont judge this amazing place by its exterior, Jean Jaques and Marie are very welcoming and have restored much of the property themselves with exceptional levels of quality and sensitivity to the history of the house, whilst making it very comfortable and highly functional (bathroom/wifi) for modern standards. We stayed in what turned out to be the bedroom of the original owner of the house, a statesman's suite is not under stating it, very grand, beautifully finished. The work involved in renovating and then maintaining this estate boggles the mind - but doing so they very much are - highly recommend.

A stunningly old farmhouse in a picture postcard village. The room was more like a suite, with a lounge area too. Beautifully and stylishly renovated, the photos don't do it justice. My wife has been an interior designer for years and was pinching ideas shamelessly. We were late arriving due to problems on the road but the host met us without any complaints. He showed us around and settled us into our room, told us where to find a shop and a restaurant, which was 1 minute away and incredible by the way. Literally the perfect overnight stop in France and it wil hopefully be our regular from now on. The family cats and dogs make it feel even more homely. Oh and they have a pig. ❤️ ❤️

Unique historic house in the centre of Champagne Mouton run by super-friendly couple and equally friendly pets. I had the smallest of the three current suites, which still comprised of a large bedroom and living room with attached bathroom and was very comfortable and excellent value. Plenty of on-street parking around. If you want to stay somewhere a bit different and with real character, this is your place.

Unfortunately we didn’t have breakfast, but there was tea and refreshments provided, judging by the rest of our stay if we had ticked the breakfast box it would have been amazing.

The only thing that would have been better would be a few more days to enjoy the surroundings!

Charming house with a local vibe, central location and very friendly owners! I recommend the breakfast.. Amazing bread, home made jams and honey 😋

Everything: the uniqueness of the palatial house, the loving furnishings of the very individual and large rooms, the heated wood-burning stoves, the fancy bathrooms, the friendly hosts and the formidable dinner. And the heaven that this accommodation has been for our dog.

We had a lovely stay here. The rooms were fabulous - spacious and comfy and renovated with such care and detail. The owners were so friendly - it was lovely to chat and to find out a bit about the property's history and about environmentally friendly and sustainable property renovation, which they are passionate about.

Staying in an old French Mansion with beautiful furniture pieces. Very large and spacious. Nice breakfast. Parked car inside securely. Fresh air and super quiet.

Lovely couple who greeted us warmly and gave us a tour of the house which they are restoring. Rooms were large, stylish, clean and warm.

We were very happy with our stay.
