The receptionist, and bar person was very friendly, welcomed me with my bad French, with her great English and helped me with the storage of my bicycle. Hotels are rare on the EuroVelo3 (Scandiberique) in this region so I was glad of a clean and airy room with a comfortable bed, a fine vegetarian pizza in the hotel restaurant along with a comprehensive breakfast to prepare me for a 70ks ride to Chauvigny via EV3. Door was difficult to open and close. The in room phone had a very bright light I confess to suffocating the phone with a pillow.

Bed was comfy. Bathroom was modern. Restaurant was lovely. Staff were friendly and patient (I don't speak French very well). Parking was easy. Location was central to our needs. Room temperature was fine even though we stayed in November.

Breakfast was minimal but sufficient. Some bedroom doors appeared to stick and so some guests appeared to have difficulty closing them and so they were quiet noisy, however it was very quiet after 10.30pm.

Rooms, linen and bathroom were spotlessly clean. Good size bedroom. Well equipped bathroom. Lovely views over the river. Good central location. Parking outside on the road was pretty easy and free. Friendly staff made us feel welcome (although limited English speakers but that's half the fun of travelling). There's a bar that opens onto the street which was nice to sit outside and have a drink at.

No lift made if very difficult for my parents who are getting on and have some mobility issues. Forgot to check if it had a lift as just assumed it would have! Bathrooms were a bit small and cramped. Breakfast was a bit basic and the coffee (from the machine) wasn't great... the coffee from the bar the night before was excellent tho!

The staff, the location, the room, the fact we could eat breakfast lunch and dinner there plus drink at the bar. Lots of locals use the hotel to eat and drink

Background music or a radio in the breakfast room would have been nice

The bed was really comfortable and everything was clean. The hotel has a restaurant atrached which serves typical French food and the service there was friendly. My room was at the back, with a nice view of the river and bridge. I'm surprised it's only 2-star. It deserves more.

It was unusual that there was no tea/ coffee making facilities in the room. I expected that.

Great options and choice for breakfast. Friendly staff. Bar and Restaurant. Good location and parking (off season) was easy and 200m away.

Great service provided by all staff who were all friendly, polite and helpful. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices plus freshly baked pastries and traditional French bread. Food in the restaurant was beautiful, well above the 2star rating the hotel has and a credit to the chefs in kitchen.Bar was laden with multiple bottles of various alcohol's catering to many tastes.along with fresh coffee and french beer on tap. The hotel was spotless. I loved the style of round door handles on bedroom doors,some people may see them as dated but for me it was a bit of nostalgia and gives the hotel a unique rustic style and charm. Definitely stay here again and encourage friends and relatives to use the hotel as a base when on holiday in region or visiting.

Good location by the river. Helpful staff, adequate parking right opposite. A very pleasant two night stay, would highly recommend.

It was great service with nice room quality! Staff went above and beyond to wait for us, as we couldn't arrive on time.
