It is conveniently located and is relatively new which helps everything to feel fresher. The staff were very friendly and helpful! Parking is great and the breakfast was excellent and good value for money.

The hotel is quite new but the rooms have some minor wear and tear which should be looked at to avoid it starting to look tatty very quickly (the skirting board was coming away in our room). It is a budget hotel so appreciate you aren’t going to get lots of extras, however there is only one pillow per person which I didn’t love. There was one random spare pillow without a case on the shelf, but it was a bit dirty so didn’t use it.

I travel a lot through Europe and spend the night in the most diverse locations. For this trip I unexpectedly ended up in the B&B Hotel Massieux Genay! The hotel is located close to the A46 motorway between Villefranche-sur-Saône and Lyon and that means that I was only there to spend the night. Of course that is possible everywhere because you come across this hotel chain and many others in this segment everywhere. However (without having any shares in it:) I was charmed by the fresh and functional design of this hotel. It turns out that there are several concepts from which one can choose in advance. This hotel has recently opened and you notice that immediately upon arrival. The location is functional but if, like me, you only want a good parking space, a well-arranged room, a good bed and a functional bathroom, you are in the right place here. As an extra you get (during the times that the reception is open) a friendly multilingual welcome from the manager or his colleagues. There is a bar where you can quickly have a drink, a snack or order a nice cup of fresh coffee. However, if you have an eye for detail, you can also come across some beautiful and surprising designs in the rooms in terms of light fixtures and wall and window coverings. But also in the common areas it is modern and very neatly finished. From Yasin and Amir (I hope I spelled their names correctly) I understood that there are still enough ideas for the future. I wish these amiable young entrepreneurs a lot of success with that. Gentlemen, you have convinced me, chapeau! Ronald van der Meijden

Point of Attention for the designers of this kind of Hotels. Despite the limited space, there must be a smart solution to prevent the shower water floating over the entire bathroom floor.

The hotel is very new and easy to access from the motorway. There is plenty of secure parking. The breakfast room is large and there was a good choice of breakfast food available. The staff we met were all friendly and helpful.

The one disadvantage for this hotel is that there are no restaurants within walking distance. On a Sunday evening it was especially tricky most of the restaurants in the nearby towns were closed. Fortunately we found a pizza van nearby and we were able to bring pizzas back to the hotel, where the Manager was happy for us to eat them in the breakfast room (thank you!).

it was a perfect location for our on the road trip We spent a night there to rest before leaving again to go to Normandy So it’s very well located if you’re looking for a road trip break! the room was very clean and cozy and it had air conditioning which is something I always appreciate

It was clean, price is good, friendly staff ready to help. This place was our lay-over stop. The day after we left and on our way to our final destination our car broke down. We went back to this hotel till we could figure out our situation with the car rental and insurance. Staff was friendly and helped us translate French to English while on the phone with the car rental company. He was very patience and helpfull.

We liked everything.

Booked it as an overnight stop on our way to S of France. Very close to the motorway, 3-4min drive to a local Auchan shop if you need to refuel the car or get snacks/drinks. Hotel was quiet, secure( they lock the car park gates and front door and can only be accessed with a code after 10pm), plenty of car parking spots, clean room, the bed was comfy and staf friendly. I would book again if in the area.

It was very modern, clean and functional. Small room but comfortable and so so clean. Vending machines and a very good reasonable breakfast.

To be honest it was a great stay but we did have a problem checking in with the self service way and the people before us had already called someone out. Don’t know how long they had been waiting.

New hotel. Everything is clean, brand new and working in order. The check-in process is smooth, modern and easy. Rooms are very good size and beds are comfortable. Breakfast was simple but delicious with good quality ingredients. We stayed there on our way skiing and decided to stay again on our way back. Very fairly priced and excellent quality compared to all else on booking around the areas

Great location, excellent room- basic but very spacious and comfortable. Lovely clean sheets and towels. Fabulous Italian restaurant right next door. Secure parking. 2 minutes from the A46 motorway. Would definitely recommend for a quick stop en route. We will stay here again!! 🙂

Good secure parking, clean spacious room. Comfortable bed. Lots of hanging space. Very close to motorway super convenient.

The hot drinks machine in reception was not working so we were unable to have a drink after a long hard drive. The floor in the room is extremely slippery when wet.
