We booked the hotel within 30 minutes of arriving at the door, and it was the last room available. It was a little small, but we understood that, and as things turned out, it was a great stay, everything was very clean and well kept. This hotel won't be to everyone's taste, if you like minimalist, it isn't for you, it is a curious collection of art and artifacts and is almost like staying in a gallery masquerading as a hotel. We really liked that. Everywhere, there is something interesting to see. The art is eclectic, and hugely varied, but nowhere in any hotel stay have I ever stopped in a corridor to admire the hotel art, take it in, and appreciate the work, apart from here. The owner clearly sees this hotel as a labour of love, in many eyes, and even in mine at the beginning, it was a little over the top, but the longer we were there the more we appreciated it. It is quirky with a capital Q, but the breakfast was excellent, and we left that morning with a smile on our face and feeling as though we had experienced something a bit different and more interesting and feeling better for it.

We had a rather large, comfortable room with a large balcony overlooking the park, which was a great place to relax in the morning and after returning to the hotel in the evening. This chateaux had an impressive lay-out with some amazing common rooms - parking was just outside. We very much enjoyed the breakfast in the park, an experience completely different to what you will find in a typical (upscale) hotel. There are many things to enjoy in the area and we hope to return another time.

We have stayed in quite a few castles/chateauxs/mansions converted into hotels and most of them share the problem of maintaining a property that was built in a time when labor was cheap. This hotel also had this problem, in particular when it came to the expansive park and to the bathroom, which was not quite up-to-date. Using period art can make an old house feeling heavy, however we wouldn't have minded less "comtempory" art on the walls in and outside our room - bare walls can also be very pleasing!

The owner was sooo nice, he served wine and did a great job welcoming me. I wasn't so keen on the location but the place was great. I got great service. No fridge in the room but no worries he held my wine for me for when I was ready for it. Bed was comfortable.

Location wasn't the greatest, being over an hour to Strasboug and 35 mins to Comar...traveling around Alsace was not that fun. no outlet in the bathroom, and had to hold open the window with towel stand to keep the room cool. no lift.

Wonderful hotel offering old-world elegance galore! We loved the beautiful building and furnishings with our own private terrace that overlooked the garden. Very comfortable bed. Superb breakfast. Plenty of convenient parking. Quite a distance to town for restaurants for dinner but all flat easy walking. The host kindly booked us a table at a restaurant on our arrival. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel restaurant serves a set dinner (which we knew when we booked it), so we chose to eat out. All recommended restaurants were a long walk or car journey away. Taxis would not do the shorter distances and even a 10 minute trip cost us 80 Euros for the round trip

The hotel is located in an ancient castle. The room is very spacious with a big bathroom. Bed was really comfortable. The breakfast was really delicious. Especially the croissants were amazing. The breakfast doesn’t have much option but the taste was really good. The hotel was clean and the stuff was polite. There is parking space available in the hotel yard without any payment.

The hotel doens’t have It’s own restaurant. We were really hungry when we arrived at the hotel and we had a hard time finding an open restaurant with available table. You should definitely make a reservation from nearby restaurants.

Beautiful facility and grounds. Clean room. Great staff and breakfast! Room was spacious even for 4 twin beds.

Our stay was in August and it is a hotter than usual time, so not having air conditioning made for a challenging night to get comfortable. A fan was provided and it worked for 3 of the 4 beds. That’s a risk we took traveling in August. Just something to be aware of.

The Chateau was very well preserved and located very close to Colmar. Perfect place to stay away from the crowd in the meantime close to the nature. Our room was room was quite big with a nice terrace. We are so glad that we could stay with our cats. The interior design was in a classical style harmonized with dozens of art pieces. Staff were so nice, friendly and professional. Exceptional breakfast with a special tea corner.

We loved everything about our stay, and can't wait to come back someday! Such a beautiful and well-maintained chateau, we loved our room, bathroom, walking the grounds, and relaxing and sipping Alsatian wine on the back patio behind it. Breakfast had everything we could want for a stay in France, and we were happy that it was an easy walk to town to grab dinner if we didn't feel like driving. A great place to stay while you explore the lower part of the Alsace Wine Road like we were. Thank you for having us!

Everything was fine. Amazing old building with good decoration taste especially in the entrance area and magical garden. Located in a silent marvelous place surrounded with greenery and half an hour close to Colmar.

All was OK, except there was a dead bug in the drawer in the bathroom which scared me and one big fly in the room, but the place is located in the green so can be tolerated.
