Perfect place for a night or two. Lovely helpful staff, simple but comfortable rooms, delicious menu at a good price ( 2 courses for 23€, 3 courses for 31€). And a nice swimming pool. Great for cyclists, safe lock-up for bikes. Great view to the hills. Small Intermarché supermarket and petrol station 5 minute drive away, at the edge of Hautefort.

A small detail, but I didn't realise it's actually a couple of kilometres from Hautefort itself. However it's only a 5 minute drive or cycle. Hautefort is the most beautiful petite cité de caractère, and even if you're exhausted after a hard day's cycle, it's worth making the effort to stroll around the walls of the chateau, and the tiny streets of old stone houses with roses everywhere.

We just made a stop-over by car for 1 night stay on our way back North. The spacious parking at the door front is a plus for car travelers. Did not use the pool but it looked great in the garden. The room was clean and basic equipped. It fitted our purpose. We enjoyed a great view of the Chateaux Hautefort from our room. The value of this hotel is in particular by its great environment.

Nothing negative to report. We had a good night rest. Just be aware that there is no elevator. Note that the bathroom is a set-module in plastic. It's clean and functional, but we did not like it so much.

The hotel was exceptionally clean in a quite location with lovely views. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. They had a lovely terrace and below a wonderful pool with deck chairs to sit by and enjoy a drink. Clare was incredibly warm and welcoming on our arrival and a delightful host. The 3 course dinner that evening I had was exceptional. Of such a high quality and standard. It would be such a relaxing place to base yourself if you were wishing to explore the area and come back to sit by the pool in the evening and relax with a drink and dinner in the restaurant or on the terrace on a hot evening.

There was nothing I didn’t like

The hotel is easy to find with ample free parking available. We were welcomed by Clare who speaks excellent English. The rooms are large, quiet, comfortable and well appointed. The restaurant serves good quality food at a reasonable price and offers plenty of choice. Some of the rooms have a few of the chateau.

Very welcoming, pleasant, felt as if we were meeting friends. Our stay was perfect, relaxed, breakfast on the terrace when weather allows, also dined once, excellent cuisine. When travelling again to the area, we would definitely choose to stay with them again.

Always a friendly welcome and helpful to arrange my late check in. Hotel is simple enough but good parking and room aircon. Restaurant and pool on site although haven't had the chance to try either sadly.

Excellent dinner and breakfast. Cool swimming pool. Lovely views over the valley. Birdsong in the morning. Very relaxed and welcoming staff. Secure bicycle storage.,

Nothing really

Nice hotel and staff really friendly and accommodating. We used as a stay over on a cycling trip across France and they looked after the bikes for us, Fantastic service and really good food in the evening at a good price.

Top marks for friendly helpful staff! Nice hotel with large terrace and swimming pool. Bar area open all the time and excellent dinners served on both nights. Large parking area. Good outlook from terrace and bedrooms. Well located for visiting Hautefort.

Capsule-style bathroom

The staff went out of their way to accommodate our dietary requirements and the food was superb. Very friendly and helpful and spoke good English too.
