The hotel was perfectly located to explore the region and Madam made it very welcoming and comfortable and couldn’t be more accommodating and kind as a host. The hotel rooms were perfect size for a three day stay, quiet and comfortable, daily service. Breakfast each morning was simple continental buffet with lots of choices and home made cake and fresh crepes (eggs too if you wanted). An excellent small hotel with real home stay feeling to it.

The owners', Lydie and Christine, piqued friendliness and openness. We didn't have many meals at the hotel, but the one we had was superb: aiguillettes de canard with a semi-sweet white wine from the area. Both highly recommended. As are the soft-boiled eggs. Excellent location to explore the region to boot, not just the les caves de Lascaux, btw. Reasonably priced.

Lydie the proprietress was so friendly and accommodating. We had been traveling all day when we finally arrived and decided to eat at the hotel. What delicious food! The cabicou salad was the best goat cheese salad I have eaten and the duck breast done to perfection. Breakfast was outstanding with scrambled eggs to order that were so tasty. It was an easy walk to the Lascaux caves which we came to visit. Although our room overlooked the main road it was very quiet!

At bit cold for our tastes but as it was early fall the heat had not been turned on. The towel warmer in the bathroom soon gave enough heat to take off the chill.

Our host was a wonderfully warm, kind and generous lady who couldn’t do enough for us. We had a delicious dinner, all fais maison with an excellent choice of wine. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. Good private parking, 5 minutes walk from Montignac and very close to Lascaux. Would stay again.

The hotel is in a calm, safe location, about 600 metres from the centre of Montignac. With good car parking and a pleasant garden and terrace. The new proprietors are good hosts and make their guests welcome, very responsive to individual requests. The dinner provided to me, and two guests, was exceptional, without question the best cuisine available in Montignac at present (having lived there previously).

Nothing - I shall certainly stay here again.

Madame, the proprietor, was very friendly and welcoming to all her guests, that evening both French and British. The cuisine was good and reasonably priced, with the breakfast above normal French standards.

We booked last minute and wasn’t disappointed, from the moment we got there the lady could not have been nicer or more helpful. The rooms were lovely and comfortable. We ended up having our evening meal there and the food was fabulous! We had an excellent evening, we would highly recommend this hotel and the food there!

There was nothing not to like

Amazing hostess, who spoke enough English for us to get by with our pitiful French. A great place to visit the Lascaux caves. Nice French continental breakfast and a cordon bleau dinner. The chef must be really top notch to produce food like that. A small family friendly hotel- as good as it gets.

Lovely big room and great hotel. Nice bar and restaurant area but this wasn't open during our stay. The kids loved the big garden with the trampoline and swings. Only a short walk into the beautiful town of Montignac. Really friendly staff made us feel welcome.

The sofa bed was a little bit small for two of us to share comfortably.
