The hotel is conveniently located just 5 minutes by car from the center of Sarlat, but the setting is quiet and serene with easy parking. Our air-conditioned room was comfortable and had everything that we needed including a lovely terrace. And with the warm summer days, the swimming pool was great! However, Anne-Marie and her husband are what make this hotel exceptional! Anne-Marie was incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful. She did everything she could to make our stay comfortable, relaxing, and memorable! And her husband made sure that their guests were served a delicious breakfast each morning. We are so glad that we chose this hotel for our stay in Sarlat and would highly recommend it to others!

The location of this property is perfect for visiting Sarlat la Caneda. You can walk down to the center but the return could be a challenge for some as it is all uphill. The owner is extremely attentive, friendly and makes certain her guests are happy. Each room offers a small patio which is great for sitting out in the morning or in the evening. We opted for the Garden View Room as it faces the back of the property. Wonderful and plentiful breakfast options which you can have inside or outside. We truly enjoyed the pool as temperatures rose above 90F.

This hotel is in a super-quiet location, outside of town, but walkable to the medieval city of Sarlat. They serve a good Continental breakfast of pastries, yogurt, fruit, bread, high-quality tea, and coffee. It's dog-friendly and all of the rooms open up to a grassy area, making it easy to take dogs out first thing in the morning and last thing at night. There's also a patio area for drinking wine and relaxing outdoors in nice weather. Shower design was excellent, and bed was comfortable. Coffee and tea-making equipment is in the room. We greatly enjoyed our stay.

A spotlessly clean hotel by fields on the edge of the marvellous medieval town of Sarlart. Anne-Marie, the hotel owner, was a lovely person - efficient, friendly and attentive to every detail. She and her partner were super hosts, Excellent large varied breakfast buffet is well worth paying for it each day. Large bedroom with separate toilet and bathroom area en suite. All are ground floor bedrooms and our seated terrace area had views across the large lawn to the hillside in distance. Ample free parking. Very steep 15 minute walk down hill to the down and also back - car advisable especially for touring the area which is full of chateaus and many other place of interest. Weather was unseasonably cold - even a frost! There is an outdoor swimming pool for summer use. Our room was warm and cosy and the bed was very comfortable. No evening meals or lunch served but good recommendations given for some of Sarlat's many restaurants.

We stayed here as a break from our holiday in Issiegeac as we wanted to visit some of the local chateaus.. The weather was extremely hot, so it was lovely to arrive to a friendly welcome. Our room was clean with silent air conditioning and electric shutters. We slept better than we had all holiday! The hotel was quiet with a fabulous pool that we had to ourselves. Breakfast was a light continental was served until 10 am. We would definitely stay there again.

Although the town was only a 10 minute walk down hill, it was actually up to a 25 min walk up hill on the way back. We couldn't face that in the 35 + heat.

Location is great. The bed is really comfortable. Wifi strong. Shower has good water pressure and good size. A/C makes room very comfortable. Grounds beautiful. But, the most outstanding is the staff. I never got her name but the hostess is the most accommodating hotel person I think I've ever encountered. And the breakfast is a very good value.

Absolutely nothing here to dislike!!

It was super clean and modern. The room was very well designed, with a built-in long mirror, lots of shelves and hooks. The bed was big and very comfortable. The shower was big and worked well, and there were coffee and tea making facilities in the room and also a hair dryer. The air conditioner was of very good quality, with a silent mode option.

No door handle, which made it very difficult to open and close without being uncomfortable. There was only one coffee sachet in the room. The shower wash was empty.

The hotel was perfectly situated in a quiet residential area above Sarlat but only 5 minutes drive down to the town. Clean, modern, lovely pool and garden. Delicious breakfast every day and very helpful friendly owner. Easy parking too. Perfect.

For me I would have liked an English news channel on the TV but there was no need to provide that. Very necessary to have a car for the trip to town as about 30 mins walk back up to the hotel after dinner on an unlit road.

Anne Marie is exceptional she knows how to look after her clients and makes sure you are comfortable. The swimming pool during the day is always empty so perfect for relaxing. The city is a 5 min ride away by car or motorbike. Walk 15 min down hill but good 30 min walk back up the hill. The room was the new modern ones with comfortable beds and good shower. The breakfast is very good value for 10 euros.

This is my second stay and like everything about this small hotel

Excellent room on ground floor with a patio. Swimming pool in lovely garden. The location is only a kilometre or so from the medieval part of town but it’s a steep walk down. Although it only takes 15 mins, it may be too much for some people. Free parking at the hotel but very expensive in town. We would have stayed longer if the weather had been better.
