The property is wonderful. Our highlight was the swimming pool which was quite big with a beautiful view and was really refreshing! One of our best swimming pool experiences ♥️ The garden is also perfect: quiet, lots of beautiful plants, flowers, nice tables under the trees. Perfect for relaxing. The scenery is beautiful! 10 out of 10.

The rooms we booked as a family were quite nice, although not suitable for the heat. For context: We were here during 35 -40 degrees days. When you take a shower, it gets really humid, the air does not circulate - its ok if you are comfortable with heatwaves but some of us slept quite unwell because it doesnt cool off (plus no air conditioning). The city is 10 min away (walking at a good pace) but its really steep at times - and unfortunately the facility makes it a bit difficult to eat / picnic at the location (no trash/ one fridge for everyone / no kitchen etc). That would be great if this could be improved.

The outstanding hospitality from Yvan and Cécile was definitely the highlight of our stay. They went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and their local knowledge was invaluable. Their recommendation for kayaking on the Dordogne River was spot-on and became one of our favorite memories from the trip. The swimming pool was also a lifesaver after hot days of sightseeing – it was exactly what we needed to unwind. Everything exceeded our expectations! The room was exactly as described with those gorgeous views that made mornings special. The breakfast was exceptional – you could tell the homegrown produce was fresh and made with care. The location worked perfectly for exploring Sarlat and the surrounding area. Most importantly, the owners created such a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel like valued guests rather than just customers. We never encountered any issues during our stay – it was seamless from check-in to check-out.

Nothing, it was perfect!

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Our hosts were wonderful, very friendly and shared many ideas and suggestions for things to do, places to eat etc which was really helpful. We loved the pool and the beautiful gardens surrounding the property, which were so relaxing to spend time in. The breakfast was fantastic. The location was great - yes it is a 10-15 minute walk into town but that was part of the pleasure for us, to be so close to the town and yet feeling like we were in the country, and it was a lovely walk before and after dinner. The area is also fabulous - there is so much to explore and do; we didn't have time to do half the things we would have liked to. Definitely somewhere we would return to!!

Very friendly owners who went above and beyond to look after us, including giving us a ride to and from the train station. We loved sitting outside enjoying wine in the evening and mixing with other guests, if you choose to, and also by the pool in the afternoon. It’s a lovely downhill walk into town and a bit more challenging coming back up the hill but nothing too strenuous. Lovely old building and picturesque setting with plenty of outside seating

Beautiful refurbished old farm house with a pool. Great hosts with charming manners and good taste. Each room is unique and well designed. Lots of out door seating options and flowers everywhere.

Not far from the town center, but it is directly uphill. You should be fairly fit if you plan to walk back from town. Also, there is no hot food (or any way to cook) on the premises so meal planning is a must.

It's a very beautiful place up the hill in Sarlat-la-Caneda. The owners are very sweet. We were afraid to be too late to check-in and got in contact with them. It wasn't a problem at all, they even offered to pick us up in town. The hotel is a fully developed kind of timbered house. The beds were a dream - so soft. The garden is very pretty. They even have amazing other guests aswell. We thought walking up the hill with our bags would be a good idea... well it is kinda steep, so it was a challenge^^. But a lovely couple from the Netherlands drove by and took our bags with them up the hill to the hotel. The croissants for breakfast were very tasty.

The WiFi signal was a bit too low in our room. Internet lunatics like us might have a little problem with that but we found a solution.

The property was really old but beuatifully maintained and the rooms were really authentic and spacious. The grounds were well maintained, there is a lovely pool and sitting outside with a bottle of wine early evening was so relaxing. The owners make a massive effort to make you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble.

Nothing, everything was as we expected from reading reviews. Even the walk to and from town was as decsribed so nothing surprised us.

Beautiful quiet spot in the countryside just outside Sarlat. So easy to drive into town and enjoy the wonderful restaurant recommendations. Also great to have a pool when temperatures reached 35 degrees! Love the rustic decor and cool spots for an evening drink. Close to wonderful visits to gardens, historical sites and Chateaus.

This is our second stay at this hotel. I do love it as it is situated on the outskirts of Sarla surrounded by a lovely garden but not too far from the center (ca.1km) although the return is very hilly. The building is very old and the owners preserved it while adding modern amenities. The rooms and the bathroom are large and spacious. Pets are welcome.

Reception closes at 19h00. The path leading from the road to the hotel is not lighted and is in total darkness.

It was a beautiful old property in gorgeous garden settings just a little bit outside of town. The breakfast was very nice in a very nice room. The staff was excellent.

Our room was very comfortable however it had very little light and ventilation. I am not sure how the room would be in summertime because there was only a velux window way up high and I am not sure one could even open it and a small window that did not open.
