The hotel is in a beautifully renovated old building, with many original features preserved. Our room was extremely comfortable, spacious and luxurious. It had everything we needed, lovely shower gel, body lotions , etc bath robes, a magnifying mirror, plenty of wardrobe space, a separate toilet. A mini bar, coffee machine, tea making facilities - everything ! We used the heated pool too, very relaxing ! There are spectacular views of the Vézère river and the town, as well as large windows at the rear of the pool and breakfast room showing the amazing rock face behind the hotel. Breakfast was great and we also had an exceptional dinner at the restaurant on site - Ro. Bo .

Beautiful historical property in the heart of Montignac with very convenient private parking right in front of the property (note that is on the road without security). The room was very spacious and clean with toiletries by Rituals. We especially enjoyed dinner at the restaurant within the hotel (ro.bo); this is not part of the hotel operations and it is newly opened by the team behind the Michelin-starred Le Petit Leon. We highly recommend making a stop here as food, service and the wine list were impeccable. Would definitely stay here again.
There are very few staff working between the reception and the bar, so you often have to wander through the property to find someone (although this is pretty typical in Europe). The bathroom in the room is separated from the bedroom simply by a curtain (one room in our reservation had a separate toilet room, whilst for the other room toilet and shower were in the same area simply with a curtain separating from the bedroom area). This may be fine for a couple, but it is worth knowing.

Beautiful building that is very nicely renovated and decorated. We had an interesting experience. I didn't notice when we booked that the restaurant is closed Mondays and Tuesdays. We booked a Monday night stay. After I inquired about other places to eat,the hotel gave us two recommendations for two nearby restaurants. Unfortunately, the day we arrived all restaurants in the village were closed due to a festival. Only open restaurant was a 30 minute drive away. We opted to go without dinner. The hosts were very very apologetic and clearly distressed by the situation. We received a complimentary split of champagne as a nice gesture. We booked breakfast the next morning which was very good. The server was quite charming and helpful. We enjoyed the salon which was quite comfortable and very beautifully decorated, and we are curious to return sometime when the restaurant is open. :)

The Hôtel Restaurant de Bouilhac was fantastic. The staff were amazing and the hotel is gorgeous. We had the best sleep of anywhere in Europe in the most comfortable bed. The restaurant was closed the night we stayed but the staff booked us for dinner at the sister property down the street. It was also a stunning building and the food was fabulous. Thank you so much to Patrick, Delphini and all the staff for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back.

We recently stayed at hotel and had a wonderful experience. The hotel's location was perfect for exploring prehistoric caves and the breakfast was excellent. The rooms were clean and well-maintained.
However, the accommodation for our child was unfortunately windowless and very dark. My son felt uncomfortable and scared to sleep in it.

This is by far the most memorable stay I’ve had in the past decade, this hotel is a prime example of smart design. Everything in the room was thoroughly studied. Reclaimed wood and furniture was smartly repurposed. It was an unforgettable experience to live and experience how environmentally designed spaces can be so comfortable and joyous !!
Nothing, maybe the the parking!

Amazing property, contemporary yet with an appreciation of the traditional room. Fantastic staff, very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend. Location great, Lascaux caves were exceptional. As restaurant closed that night had a recommendation to a local restaurant which was great.
It was all good!

Great location for exploring the region. Extremely nice and helpful staff and terrific restaurant.
Needed another chair in the room; wish they would change the menu daily. In the off season — which is when we traveled— it’s a bit too dark to walk into town at night so we ate there 4 nights; food is excellent and creative but it would have been better if there were some variety or a daily special. The restaurant suffers a bit from new staff who are not always on top of things.

Incredible hotel building itself in a great location, super comfortable room and excellent bathroom with lovely toiletries and also wonderful staff. The on site restaurant is great too and surprisingly food value.
Weird in a hotel of this size not to have any fitness facilities - a shame
