If you're planning a trip to explore the renowned Lascaux Caves and need a place to stay, I highly recommend the Domaine de Lascaux. Perched on a hilltop, it offers breathtaking views of the surrounding valley, while being just a leisurely 10-minute walk to Lascaux 2. The location is also convenient for visiting Lascaux 4 and 2 by car. The room, though simple, was spotless and provided all the comfort we needed. The real highlight of our stay, however, was the warm hospitality of our host. Not only was she gracious and welcoming, but she also gave us some excellent dining suggestions. We followed her advice and enjoyed a delightful dinner at Chez Fany. Breakfast at the Domaine was another memorable experience. With a selection of fresh croissants, breads, cereals, yogurt, and fruit—alongside excellent coffee—the meal was a perfect start to the day. The breakfast room itself boasts stunning views of the valley, making the entire morning feel special. Overall, our stay was relaxing, scenic, and thoroughly enjoyable.

The hosts were super nice, our room was very clean, breakfast was excellent with an amazing morning view of the valley of the Vézère river. The brown dog was super friendly, she wanted us to play with her, bringing her toy to us ! So cute ! 🥰

The wifi didn't work, probably due to the rain. The bed was low on the floor, but we have short legs so it doesn't bother us very much. The road to the hotel is very tricky and narrow, but the location on the top of the hill makes it very secluded and very peaceful ! 🙏

Set on a hill overlooking the Vésère River, this place has stunning views with a beautiful pool. Simple accomodation in the countryside and a stroll away from Lascaux 2 through forest and a short drive into Montignac. The hosts are very friendly and made us feel comfortable

The pool area will be fabulous when the paving is complete. The wifi was too to be useful but phone signal was ok

Fabulous pool with view over the valley, really friendly host, perfectly quiet in the evening, breakfast was enjoyed with great view, just a three minute drive to the Lascaux caves

No shower curtain, bathroom and bedroom could do with a makeover but this didnt bother us.

Stephanie was a great host. We enjoyed our time talking together into the evening. He was exceptionally accommodating. We loved the outstanding view from the property and the rustic interior. If you are not familiar with farmhomes in a European countryside you may have unmet expectations. (We enjoyed the 1800s feel of the b&b--it reminded me of my aunt's farmhouse near Pzydry, Poland.) No air conditioning which is expected--despite the heat wave that hit Marignac, opening the windows in the evenings and the room fan gave us a cool enough room. Being here was the best part of our 17-day holiday.

Bathroom was tiny, yet, again, to be expected for a countryside farmhouse. But we had our own shower/sink/wc. A rustic ordor was prevalent--again the ordor was unexpected yet not surprising for a 100+ year old farmhouse. Airing out the room helped lessen the ordor.

The location was excellent for our visit to Lascaux IV the next day. The charming buildings, great view, modem accommodations, and good brekfast were all much appreciated.

It is a nice farm house and the owners are extremely nice and helpful. Everything appears was going, no hustle. You can walk to Lascaux IV in 10 minutes which is a big advantage. Breakfast is good.

Lovely location near to the caves. It was raining so we didn't walk, but plenty of free parking, so no problem. Beautiful view from the hotel.

Very friendly family hosts. Easy hike to Lascaux for the history and art, and Montignac for the food and the scenery.

The hosts / owners are very nice and very helpful. The outlook from the terrace is just beautiful, and the location cannot be surpassed if the purpose of your stay is to visit the Lascaux caverns, which are located within a few hundred meters. Or just sit on the terrace in a clear night and enjoy the tranquility and the stars with a glass of wine. A clear recommendation!
