The location was excellent. The hotel is across the street from the main bus stop in town, and as we were travelling entirely by public transit, it could not have been more ideally situated. The staff were extremely friendly with us from the moment we entered, almost 5 hours before check-in, and they agreed to watch our bags. They always enquired about our outings and made conversation. The breakfasts were also excellent. The best we encountered in France. The breakfast buffet has yogurt, a range of local cheeses, 1-3 types of sweet cake, viennoisseries, a station at which an employee cooks eggs to your liking, an espresso machine, and a juice dispenser.

The wifi was possibly the worst of our trip. No wifi in the room, and it did not work much better on the ground floor.

A historic building located in the center. The hotel's new owner, Angel, truly makes a difference with a service-oriented approach. He is friendly and prioritizes customer satisfaction. He has plans to improve the hotel's conditions. We were pleased with the hotel's location, hospitality, and breakfast. We were slightly inconvenienced as we had to decide on breakfast during check-in, but we were happy after including it. Since we arrived at the hotel in the evening, we could park at the nearby park for a minimal fee until morning, which was very convenient. We wish Angel and his wife the best of luck in their venture.

Excellent location for Sarlat, only yards from its centre, with easy parking opposite the hotel. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very good recommendations for dinner and assistance with making a booking. The room itself was quiet, very comfortable and well-equipped with a fridge and a kettle, (a bonus for UK visitors in France). The shower was first-class too. Breakfast was very good, including a wide range of fresh products, (freshly-baked pastries!), but what surprised us was the breakfast chef, who made us really excellent omelettes - a delicious treat. Monsieur who owns the hotel deserves to be congratulated on his establishment. He is an excellent host but he also rolls his sleeves up and gets stuck in with preparing and serving the delicious breakfast. He gave us excellent advice too on possible restaurant choices and made sure that we were absolutely comfortable in our room. His advice very much helped add to our enjoyment of Sarlat on our brief visit there.

Can't think of anything significant or even trifling to complain about. We would happily stay there again.

Hotel St Albert is a small hotel with a convenient location just outside Sarlat old town made special by the fantastically helpful proprietor, who was very responsive prior to our arrival through booking.com's messaging system and during our stay gave me invaluable tips for exploring the old town (for example, he urged me to walk around the illuminated old town after nightfall to literally see the town in a new light and get some special photos). Rooms have lovely touches like a kettle for tea/coffee and biscuits - a rare amenity in France.

We received a very warm welcome. The owner spoke perfect English. The hotel was very cosy and homely - its very unique, with beautiful furnishings, unlike hotels where all the rooms are the same. The bed was so comfortable, and we had a small fridge in our room. I would definitely recommend Hotel Albert, it's also provides a continental breakfast, everything was fresh and delicious, but the icing on the cake was the friendly owners, who are doing an exceptional job.

Honestly, there was nothing to fault.

Location is exceptional - next to historical town and with parking across the road. Breakfast, which was extra was worth it - very good selection and service. They will make eggs fresh to order. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Not very large but just perfect space and space was well thought out. Air conditioning was strong and quiet. We booked family room, which was perfect - it had a separate room for kids. The hotel was reasonably priced and was exceptional value.

Nothing - everything was perfect.

Friendly staff, great location, and given the price it was brilliantly located. We had a family room with a double bed at one end and two single beds at the other end. 2 mins walk to town centre. Parking opposite.

Parking was a bit complicated with 1hr free and only charging during the daytime. I had to leave the room at 9am to increase parking charge. But only cost us around €12 for 20hrs as nightime was free. The hotel manager/owner helped explain the best way to pay for this for the minimum charge so that helped.

This was the second time that my friend and I stayed at Hotel St Albert. This time we stayed in one of the newer rooms. The beds were very comfortable and the shower and air conditioning worked well. (The latter was very important since the period when we stayed at the hotel France was in the grips of a heat wave with temperatures in the high 30s.)

The breakfast was good - however it would have been better if the hotel was able to offer locally made jams etc.

I loved the staff and the interesting things they taught us and described to us. It was helpful since I do not speak French. They made a great breakfast and the place was shiny clean. In addition, we rented the apartment which was very very spacious. It included washer dryer! What a gift!

The only thing I missed was that I didn't have a window I could open.

Loved staying here so much!! Perfect value for money, the receptionists were so helpful at check-in and also when I needed an iron - they went above and beyond. My room was the perfect size, bed really really comfortable, it was cleaned SO well every day and 2 waters in the fridge replaced every day. Just felt very looked after, and a very relaxing, easy-going place to stay. It’s also in the best location near to everything and such a lovely town. Would 100% stay again, thank you :)

When I checked in on my first day you can’t actually enter the building until check in time which I’m not used to but does make sense and someone did come to the door and they stored my bag which was helpful!
