First and foremost, the hospitality was greatly appreciated along with the consideration and helpfulness of Patrick and all those at the front reception! The staff were excellent and very helpful. This includes being very helpful in suggesting transportation options to nearby attractions, and directions to other locations. The hotel puts on a lovely breakfast and I appreciated the gluten free meal items. The room was very comfortable, quiet and clean and I appreciated the large balcony. I felt very much at home at Le Renoir and would definitely recommend it and return again in the future if I have the opportunity. Thank you!

Beware of what is free and what is not and what you will be charged for, even when it was “offered” to you, to avoid bad surprises best to always ask how much before your final bill. Very good breakfast. Could do with some modern bits like having a safe in the room for example.

We booked on a whim after realising how STUNNING Sarlat is. The weather was roasting and we saw that it had a pool. BLISS. Just what we needed. We got the last room and after a quick swim we were refreshed and ready for a night of festivities at the annual town festival.

We got the last room which didn’t have aircon. But honestly, we slept like babies. We kept the window open (there’s a shield for mosquitos) and were cool enough despite blistering 37c heat in the day!

Great location near the historic centre of Sarlat-le Caneda. The pool looked lovely but was not in use during our visit, which is understandable due to the adverse weather conditions during our 2 night stay.

Normally, we don't partake of breakfast , we just have a cup of coffee . At check-in, this little nugget of information seemed to change the attitude of the front desk, who immediately asked for room payment for our stay up front, this we found quite unusual as we generally pay at checkout time.

The continental breakfast was almost extravagant in its array, given how few guests were at the hotel in the off season. The room was amply sized and the bed quite comfortable. The blackout shutters were terrific. Front desk spoke no English but were very helpful.

Coffee was self serve out of a machine and not very good. Bathroom was dated, with cracked floor tiles. The overall appearance of the hotel interiors was also a bit dated.

Room modern and adequet as we were only in it to sleep . Bed comfy , shower excellent . Aircon good . Breakfast brilliant . Such a selection of food . Location excellent , short stroll to the centre. 10 mins

Excellent location and pool for the children.

I wasn’t able to watch the television in the bar because a member of staff was brushing the floor. I wouldn’t of normally wanted to watch the television as the outside area round the pool is beautiful. However it was a particularly important football game that I wished to watch and I was told that I couldn’t. And I would have to watch it in my room, which I didn’t think was appropriate. I could’ve easily sat and watch the television while the member of staff pushed around the tables at the opposite end.

One surly gent at reception. parking an issue...either on street or 20 euros per night. Usually got something within 5 minutes walk

We had a lovely warm reception from Brigitte, the room was perfect. The pool is a lovely treat especially after a long drive. Parking is free but just an 80m walk from the hotel and the old town is about 0.5km so the location is wonderful.

Bridgitte was a kind and wonderful host and made us feel welcome. Great location and walkable into Sarlat. Would come again. Thank you, Bridgitte!

No parking on site but Bridgitte told us of free parking few mins away. It's an ancient town and the hotel is close to the center so it's only to be expected!
