The hotel location right in the centre of town was excellent. Secure parking was available although it was a ten minute walk from the hotel. Our room was spacious ,clean and well appointed. It had a small kitchen area where we could have self catered. The bathroom was good, the water plentiful and hot.

We had to climb three sets of stairs to our room. The breakfast would have been better with fresh fruit. There was no decaffeinated coffee. I have a wheat and caffeine intolerance so breakfast was very limited for me.

Beautifully restored and converted historical building, done in impeccable taste. Totally awesome location. And it feels like an oasis in what has become a rather busy and crowded village. Staff went out of their way to communicate the practicalities of getting to the property and check in during after-office hours (in flawless English BTW).

Cannot think of anything important. The breakfast is a bit minimal (as in French), but at 11 Euros it is good value.

We stayed two nights. The location in the centre of the mediaeval district was superb. The apartment had fridge and tea/coffee making facility. Bed large and comfortable. The staff were accommodating.

The free car park was a good walk away especially hard for us with luggage. We were on the second floor with winding wooden staircase which us being seniors (76) found it difficult with or without luggage but would recommend the property to those who are fit.

The location was great, within walking distance of the main square , cathedral, restaurants and shops. The room we had was a surprise…very spacious to accommodate a queen size bed and a small living room with two comfortable chairs. The lodging was immaculate, and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was offered, and it was very good with breads, croissants, yogurt, eggs, coffee, fruit. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. We highly recommend this lodging.

This super property features a large terrace that offers a great view of the medieval city center. The terrace is well-appointed with several chaise lounges and a nice dining area, perfect for outdoor meals. Both the interior and exterior spaces provide ample room for relaxation and are tastefully decorated. Additionally, the host was helpful and responsive.

This space has the potential to be rated at the very top if a few issues are addressed. The kitchen area and counter need upgrading due to age, and a new cutting board is necessary. Similarly, the bathtub has areas where the grout needs cleaning and replacement. Additionally, the industrial toilet paper holder in the toilet room should be replaced.

Excellent location, very clean, modern amenities , spacious , and just perfect for traveling with our college age son. Apt Jean Gaben and Audrey Hepburn had great views, outside terrace area and french breakfast in the same building for 11 euros. Our host and greeter Valentine was helpful and a great resource for reataurants . Sarlat is an ideal spot for daytrips in the Perigord region!

Everything about this hotel was excellent. The recently renovated room looked out over the village and neighbourhood roof tops. Though the neighbourhood was busy and lively noise was no problem with the double windows. It was a very hot at the time and the air-conditioning was much appreciated. The staff were welcoming and helpful with dinner reservations and recommendations.

Nice stay when we eventually found the place, that is. Good breakfast - no complaints. Young man on the desk speaks excellent English, and he told us where we could park the car; he waited for us at the garage, which was kind of him.

Difficult to find - had to ask in the tourist information office and was shown on the map where Rue de la Charite is (told to look for the kebab shop). Also, our room, although nice, was accessed by going outside and up a steep flight of stairs. (Glad it wasn't raining!)

Excellent location in the heart of Sarlat. A beautiful historic building. We stayed in a spacious apartment with a balcony which had its own cooking facilities. Valentin was extremely helpful.

There is no parking at the property. You can pay to park in a secure garage (which Valentin organises) but it is a significant walk with suitcases. In our apartment there was a microwave and a hob - no oven and the coffee machine could do with updating.

It's a little tricky to find, but SO worth it. Sarlat La Caneda is one of the most beautiful places we've seen in France, and La Villas des Consuls, just made our visit even better. Extremely helpful staff, excellent facilities, and superb breakfast. La Villas des Consuls is an absolute MUST for all travellers.

Only staying for 1 night ...... should have stayed longer 😞
