Just the opposite of the pretty square and a stone’s throw away from the main areas of the town. The hotel didn’t only look smart from the outside, but the inside was neat and modern. A charming welcome packet of local biscuit was a nice gesture not seen often nowadays at the other hotels. My partner loved the beautiful swimming pool where he was the only one swimming in the morning and felt very refreshing ! All the bathrobes, sandals etc for swimming were carefully arranged in the room. The room amenities were those of Algotherm and l felt pampered. A lady at the reception was friendly and nice.

It would have been nicer if the room was much bigger….ln fact, it was quite compact. The breakfast buffet was rather mediocre considered all the other attractive points of this hotel. Despite eating outside the nice terrace in front of the hotel, we couldn’t enjoy much…the coffee was not robust and the pastries were too sweet….

Everything! The building is very beautiful and romantic. In low season we could easily find a free park spot in front of the hotel (please note free parking is only available in winter up to - I guess - April 1st? I guess parking in high season can be quite challenging in the village centre). Hotel is situation at a great central location. Lovely bar that stayed open until we were done. Bar does have food menu, with easy dishes. Restaurant is there too, but we didn’t tried it. (Btw the pub had non-alcoholic beers which so far appears to be quite scare in most France restaurants, so that was nice). Also the swimming pool / spa area was quiet and the pool jacuzzi area is basically open the entire day from 8am to 9pm. Length is I guess 12m pool. It’s a great pool for a tiny exercise after being in the car the entire day. Spa area has different hours, but we didn’t try it.

All in one shower gel - shampoo - conditioner :). So bring your own.

This was an excellent 4 night stay in Sarlat. The room was a good size and very comfortable with all the amenities. The pool/spa/sauna setup places it well above other choices in the area. Although it was a short walk to the parking garage it was very convenient to have secure and covered parking where it was easy to come and go. Sarlat itself has plenty to do but a car for the surrounding area is useful as public transportation is limited.

There were several tour groups during our stay that seemed to occupy all the staff. When we arrived they were serving a large group dinner in the "group only" dining area (the breakfast room in the am) and service in the bar was nonexistent. Wrong drinks, wrong check, and marginal food. Although there was usually someone in the area of the front desk, they were generally in the back room and only came out after standing around for several minutes. That said, these were the only drawbacks and I mention only in the hopes they might be corrected.

The hotel is in a great location with free public parking nearby. The front of house staff were so helpful. Top marks to them. They were able to provide an iron and ironing board which we kept for our stay. It was a bonus to have a swimming pool. Loved the old style telephone on the bedside. Great Cocktails too!

The housekeeping was a little random depending on what shift was on. On arrival and overnight we ran out of some supplies! The room was not left supplied ready for new arrivals! I helped myself to a couple of items off the housekeeping trolley the next morning. Then the next shift kept us well stocked. Sort of wished for 4 nights that we had upgraded to a slightly bigger room.

Airco( 41c outside) pool, sauna, hammam. We asked for two rooms close to each other and had an annexe on the second floor with two large rooms, perfect for us. The food in the bar was outstanding, not a full restaurant but some of the best food we had on our whole trip. All the staff were charming and helpful

Parking is the only weakness, it is not close and most of the spaces would not fit my large sub

only negative and wasn't in the end an issue were the night Marche and then sat am march but not a problem in end. hotel exceeded our expectations and delivered a fabulous experience. great staff, highly recommend this hotel . great location, breakfast was excellent, didn't get a chance to use pool but room and tub and shower perfect after a long day. also sound proof. can't say enough after a lot of negative surprises from traveling for several month one of the top two we experienced. thank you

nothing was all good. praying wasn't perfect but in the end we survive. best to visit off season as august 15 wasn't the smartest thing I have done.

The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Sarlat-la-Canéda. It was nice to see some of the hotels history and how it has remained up to date without losing its charm. The welcome from the staff was on point. Very helpful and informative and assisted with our bags. The breakfast was varied, with hot and cold choices. The fresh squeezed orange juice and service of tea, coffee and hot chocolate was a nice touch. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the pillows equally so. Had a wonderful nights sleep. In the room the complimentary biscuits was a lovely addition to the experience.

Parking was a little far away. Some guidance re access to the hotel pre booking (due to the Saturday market) would have been helpful - I'd have changed my arrival date to avoid the conflict.

Central location in Sarlat, 2 minutes to walk to "Old Town". Very helpful English speaking Staff. Excellent breakfast

Parking ? "Free parking" associated with hotel is 600 metres away. To park on the street near hotel is difficult (to find a space), and very expensive (I had to pay 30 Euros for 4 hours, admittedly in "peak hours on a weekday". 7pm to 9am us free, however.

Loved the location - minutes away from the ramparts while also quiet at night to gaze at Carcassonne under the stars. Everything you need including a cozy breakfast area, outdoor patio dining area and a terrace. Rooms are comfortable and clean! Catherine and Jean-Michel were gracious hosts with recommendations and a warm welcome.
