Christine was an AMAZING host. She could not have been more helpful or kind - she even picked me up and took me back to the train station. The other ladies that worked there too was so helpful and funny. The breakfast was delicious! Home-made cakes every morning. The pool was heavenly! The location is soooo quiet and peaceful. The town of Sarlat is one of the most beautiful towns I have ever visited. Lots of street entertainment in the evening and amazing buildings. The perfect base if you want to explore the Dordogne. I will 100% be returning to this amazing hotel.

I wouldn't change a single thing.

Really first rate hotel. The proprietor speaks perfect English and provided great insights on things to see and do in the Dordogne and the best way of organising our itinerary. Breakfasts aren't cheap but the quality and variety is excellent. Plentiful onsite parking is also a big plus.

To be honest it was perfect. People should be aware that it is sited on a hill overlooking the town and while it is only a 10 minute walk it is up a fairly steep hill which may be an issue for people with mobility issues. One can of course drive but then that impacts the enjoyment of the local beverages.

Christine is a very good hostess. Nothing too much trouble. Excellent breakfasts prepared carefully with local ingredients. Rooms spacious and clean. The pool was in a good location and very clean. This is an outstanding small hotel. I recommend it without reservation.

In Sarlat the taxis do not pick you up from the station to take you to your hotel. They will not take you to the Sarlat railway station from your hotel in Sarlat either. They don't make enough from these short trips, so they don't help you. There is no lift at the hotel, so luggage must be carried to your room

Christine the owner was simply the best, truly passionate about serving her guests, explaining in great detail every aspect if the breakfast. Also advising on places to visit and the best times to visit. Bedroom were immaculately cleaned thanks to a lovely lady sorry I did not get her name. I should like to mention we were touring france in a classic Austin Healey and are quiet fussy about secure parking this hotel being a little away from the centre offered us complete peace of mind. Also a great large swimming pool so perfect after a long day driving. Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel within 10 min walk of town. Pool looked exceptional (not heated), but it was too chilly this June to use it. We didn't get the bfast, which is not served buffet style, but to your table by the lovely hostess, Christine. Great parking just in front of hotel in their lot - quiet rooms

I wish that there was a shelf or table to put items on. In our particular room there was only a small, narrow desk and a half closet with hangars, but not a shelf in site, so if you would like to unpack, there is nowhere to put your items. Kleenex, lotion or conditioner would have been nice additions in bathroom.

The hotel director, Christine, was absolutely incredible! She was so kind, spoke very good English, and had incredible knowledge of the area and great recommendations. We originally weren’t going to partake in breakfast because of a food allergy, but the hotel was able to handle it, and breakfast was one of our favorite parts of everyday. There is also a beautiful pool on site. The location by downtown Sarlat was great. It was so easy to access great restaurants and shops.

The lady of the house is very friendly, sweet and helpfull. The room was clean.

It was in a lovely setting with beautiful views & was very quiet away from the main roads. Had a superb heated outdoor pool although wasn’t able to use much as had plenty of rain during our stay 😬 can’t help the weather

Nothing to dislike about the property except my husband & I should have investigated its position more as my husband has a bad knee so we couldn’t walk down into Sarlat & back & parking was sometimes difficult

The manager here is a most gracious and helpful lady! She took a big interest in not just our comfort, but in our plans while in the area. She gave us a booklet about the area with a nice map and circled some other sites and activities that we were not aware of. We followed her advise, which greatly enhanced our stay in the area. The breakfast she servers is delicious, with fresh local cheeses, fresh fruit, meats and fresh baked goods, some of which she makes herself (her walnut cake is luscious) Each morning she would bring that day's selection to the table and tell us about each of the cheeses and her custom baked goods. When I inquired about laundromats in town, she graciously offered us the use of the laundry room to do a load of wash, so we could relax in our room while laundry in progress instead of sitting for hours in a laundromat. The room was just wonderful! Comfy bed. Spacious and clean with, fabulous, well-designed lighting, for both reading in bed and lighting the rest of the room as well, all of which you could turn off and on with switches on either side of the bed. Charging plugs on both sides of the bed. We even had our own little patio with a table and seats just outside the sliding glass door. Parking plentiful and convenient to the rooms. Lovely patio and pool area for guest use.

Beautiful house about a lovely 10 min walk into Sarlet (uphill back !) Tastfully furnished . Superior room was large and bright . Shutters kept the room dark at night . Bed super comfy . Plenty of lighting options for reading etc. Pool area was wonderful, however due to the weather we did have not much of a chance to use it. Maybe next time!

We thought that the breakfast was rather overpriced.
