The property had lots of character. The room was clean with tea making facilities and water provided. Breakfast was offered at an extra cost but was worth it with home made pancakes, cakes and preserves, and a wide selection of cereal, breads, cheeses, fresh fruit etc The staff were very friendly and helpful. The property was in the perfect place for exploring the beautiful historic town of Honfleur. We would highly recommend this hotel and intend to use it again in the future.

Due to the age of the building there was some ducking to get around the bed and the step into the room was quite large. This was not a problem for us but might be for less mobile visitors.

Absolute gem of a hotel. Smack bang in the middle of the old town right beside St Catherines Church and the port. Paid parking lot about 5 or less minutes away. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Food and drink good. Bed very comfy. Loved the bath (but I am only 5 foot)! Shower was hand held but completely usable. We have stayed in other hotels in the area but this is definitely our favourite!

Unfortunately no lift but couldn't see how you would install one as its an old building. Stairs were a little narrow on the treads but again due to the historic building. Anyone with mobility issues would need to state 1st floor as there are 2 sets of steps to climb even that far. Shower was usable but would be better fixed higher up so you could stand under it. Again not a game changer just a suggestion.

The hotel was clean, efficient, beautifully located and with super helpful staff. The room was filled with light, comfortable and pleasant. The bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast to die for (except we had not realized that it was not include in the room rate.

The shower. First the glass door opened from the side of the tub that was far from the water/shower. In other words, if you wanted to turn the water on, you had to climb into the fairly deep bathtub from the back side in order to reach it and then climb back out again to wait for the tub to fill. The tub was unusually deep and dangerous to climb in and out, without anything to hold on. It is actually quite dangerous, especially for the elderly pregnant women, handicapped people. The shower could greatly benefit if there was a way to hook the shower head onto something on the wall, so you didn't have to hold it in your hand while showering.

We will stay here again! Maison de Louise (2-bedroom house) was perfect for three generations (5 people) traveling together! It's beautifully French, wonderfully appointed and the three floors gave everyone their own space. The stairs' handrail is one of the most unique I have seen. The beds and duvets were the most comfortable of all our stays, and the sofa bed accommodated our 6'3 son perfectly. TVs in every room with local channels, which was great because we could not get the Roland Garos or Soccer in all locations we stayed at. I am an honest critic and normally do not give 10/10 but our stay in this house deserved it.

Not a negative for us because we did washing before and after, but it does not have a washing machine. Again, not a negative, but just know, the two bedrooms are on the second and third (American) floors.

The location was great to walk around Honfleur. We were initially given a room on the third floor but when we spotted the very narrow, winding staircase we asked for another room. The receptionist was very helpful in changing our room to the first floor and she also helped with one of our suitcases. We have managed stairs before but these are quite narrow.

Car parking can be an issue. We parked right out the front of the hotel and checked with the receptionist on the parking requirements of which surprisingly she did not know but told us where free parking was available. The next morning a different receptionist advised us that the parking was only for 15 minutes. It would have been nice to have been informed of that on the previous day.

This far exceeded my expectations for a 3* hotel. We were extremely impressed as the location was perfect in the old town and although the room was small the quality of the decor including the en-suite bathroom was modern, clean and better than a 3*. I have stayed in 4* hotels in Europe that were a disappointment and I believe the only reason that Hotel Du Dauphin is not a 4* is because it does not have additional facilities e.g. a swimming pool which is not required in this beautiful boujis, historical town of Honfleur. We would definitely stay again as it was great value for money, and pet friendly for our little Chihuahuas too. We travelled by car and albeit there is no parking onsite, within a walking distance there is a car park which is free which was an added bonus... but only if you can find a space in peak season! :)

The breakfast was very basic and not great value but with so many restaurants and bars closeby and within a stone's throw away there was no requirement to use the restaurant facilities. A modern smart TV upgrade would be a great addition to the rooms as we were unable to log into our Netflix etc...

Our stay was in one of the apartment suites, one bedroom and living room and kitchenette. Great location! lovely view over the main square. Lots of stairs, but that is to be expected in an historic building; stairs were well lit and good handrail. The apartment is around the corner from the main hotel entrance. Kudos to Celine at the front desk, friendly and great English (my French is bad), she even carried a suitcase up for us. Comfortable bed, nice sheets, large bathroom. Kitchen even had a drawer dishwasher. Very clean. The photo is a view from the apartment window with the smaller Wednesday market, Saturday market is much larger. Great veggies, etc at the market!

Nothing not to like, hope to be back.

Location and character of hotel great. Central to all facilities. Breakfast excellent.

We were in Room 11 and the room itself was very good but the noise from the floor of the room above us was very disturbing. Any movement woke us up as very creaky. I hasten to add nothing to do with the people staying there. The noise of floor boards or whatever creaking spoilt our otherwise excellent. I just think hotel might not be aware of this disturbance.

We always try to stay in central locations and independent hotels. This hotel was perfect to walk around the town. We knew parking was going to be away from the hotel and we found a good car park whin a 5 minute walk.

More up front information on parking, rather than some crosses on a map when you arrive, would be a help. We found a good place but it was expensive when more direction would have led us the optimum place to park.
