Although breakfast was quite expensive, the range of food and drinks available was very good and the self service nature meant it was extremely relaxed and made for a great start to the day. The Main Hotel building is beautiful and imposing. The Modern part is smart, clean, spacious and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location, a 20 minute walk to the town and nearest beach was a bonus.

Unfortunately there were several occasions where dog excrement was evident in the front car park which we found rather disgusting and wondered why the owners had not cleared this up.

Absolutely stunning chateau in walking distance to the beach side town. Free bus service also takes you to Pornic and other beachside locations. Beautiful grounds and gorgeous rooms. Lovely renovations but still keeping the old charm. We were upgraded to a seaside view room and it was lovely. Breakfast was good and the estate had a bar and restaurant (although not open on Mondays) and places you can sit as well as outside around the pool. Best bath towels i have had so far in france. Plenty of free parking. Lovely host ...

Wifi was a little slow but assumed that was because we were a way out of a big town. Otherwise nothing to not like.

It's a smart comfortable hotel on the town's outskirts. We didn't have supper at the hotel as there seemed to be very little on offer that was guten free. The same with breakfast. Almost nothing gluten free. It's a very smart place but sometimes the smart can be overdone.

I have yet to undestand why hotels feel the need to install complicated hot and cold taps. And that goes for showers as well. What was the matter with taps clearly marked to hot and cold. Sometimes being 'smart' can be too clever by half.

The chateau is very stylish with a beautiful terrace with views over the swimming pool down to the sea in the distance. The staff are very polite and highly professional - they have obviously received extensive training. Our bedroom was in the main chateau, quite small but perfectly renovated with a brand new bathroom. We had dinner in the evening in the restaurant - again excellent service and the food was delicious and beautifully presented.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only one small suggestion could be to find a way to be able to serve a drink poolside. I know it's not possible to have glass near a swimming pool but it would be fantastic to be able to enjoy a cool drink in a plastic glass while relaxing beside the pool.

Lovely friendly welcome on arrival. They had called a few days earlier to say restaurant in hotel would not be open, which allowed us to book elsewhere in plenty of time which was a nice touch. The building is beautiful with airy rooms and grounds with a lovely swimming pool. Our room on the first floor had distant seaviews. The room was spacious, airy and comfortable with fresh decoration. There was good WiFi connection, coffee/tea and kettle and a well lit bathroom with lovely toiletries. Again because it was quite we were asked to make our breakfast selection the evening before. We could have had this served in our room, but we decided to eat where they normally serve breakfast. Gorgeous croissant, bread, fruit salad and coffee. The hotel has plenty of free parking onsite and is easy to locate, it is a short distance from Pornic which can get rather busy and this offers a nice alternative to staying in the town.

Absolutely stunning. It was an ‘experience’ from the minute we drove into the gates. Beautiful property, amazing staff, rooms are modern but still full of character. The pool is fabulous and as for the food ‘magnifique!’

Probably one of the nicest rooms w have ever stayed in, admittedly the manager said it was the best room in the hotel by far… everything perfect.

We could only stay 2 nights in the main hotel and it was a shame as wanted to stay longer. Superb food in the restaurant….

Like the old chateau style with wonderful garden and pool area to relax and take a drink The location is perfect, nice and quiet I took the superior dinner in the restaurant offering a high quality of food and nicely arranged, really top

Tasteful renovation of a beautiful building.

Be aware that there is no lift but a wonderful staircase. Pack carefully so you only need a small case here.

The breakfast was great.. lots of local bread, fruit, fruit and cheeses. The pool was lovely and a good size. The room was fine but could of been bigger.

No tea or coffee facilities in room. The English fraternity need their tea in the morning !!
