The location for me was perfect and the management philosophy is inspiring. The price also reflects the facility I felt it was a good fair deal. Getting checked in was a little confusing for me but the lady who helped me was excellent at the other hotel in Saint Dalmas de Tende. The village La Brigue is beautiful 😍

It felt like it needed a little love and attention with some decorations and a little modernisation inside perhaps. But it was end of season and perhaps for that reason it was very quiet… if it had been busier with more ‘buzz’ around it I may have had a different feeling

Very economical price for our stay, in former grand hotel, in superb beautiful mountainous location close to river. Very peaceful location outside charming village of La Brigue. Garden had seats and tables overlooking river and with mountain views. Delightful location.

Hotel is clean but has neglected air from former grandeur. There is no reception and hotel is managed from next village St Dalmas de Tende. Keys can be accessed by a code but some guests may be required to collect from there. As we arrived by train, codes provided by phone previously instead, Key codes worked ok but our room key lock box was empty! We phoned for staff to come with the key to our room which arrived by car 10 minutes later. Fortunately this was mid afternoon not late evening! This did not spoil our stay and we would still recommend this hotel.

Great location in an old little town with many interesting hiking and walk/bike options. The hotel is located in an ancient building that perfectly fits into the landscapes, the town and the surrounding mountains and nature

Some parts of the building are quite old. The room doors are light and thin, so it's possible for the noise to get in during sleep/rest.

The location of the hotel is really good - just a few minutes walk to the town center. Room was clean and breakfast was good. The building is charming, but sadly doesn't seem to be in the best condition (but not too bad either).

There appears to be no staff in the hotel (except during breakfast and room cleaning) and I feel that shows. As others have stated, you need to pick up the room keys at another nearby hotel.

Needed a bed to sleep and the hotel was totally fine for that. Bed was comfortable but a bit noisy.

The internet didn't work at at. The toilet flush sounds like a jet plane is taking off.

There's was so confusion about checking in, but staff at the hotel was very helpful and even though they didn't speak english, but they helped to solve all problems.

The breakfast was an adequate European breakfast, though a bit meager for those who are hiking. Very quiet and clean. Bed very comfortable. Beautiful location, just an easy 8 minute walk from the train station. Excellent base for hiking.

Great building in a fab location - very nice!!

…was slightly unclear about the key - not any information before I was at the front door. Then I was told by other guests to drive back 2km to another hotel to pick-up the key. All very straight fwd after that!!

The cleaners were trying to open our door over 1 hour before check out time and continued to try and open the door after we told them we were still in the room and basically told us to hurry up
