Very quiet location, surrounded by nature and wildlife, ideal for a relaxing holiday. Exceptional host, a touch of fine taste everywhere, a treat for those with a keen eye for artistic detail.

Do not take this as criticism, but for those expecting top hotel accommodations, do consider this is an old building with a history to honor, in a rather remote location, thus some comfort tradeoffs are expected.

Great remote location, with a special vibe and a unique design. Peace and quiet all day long. A great starting place for hikes and bike rides. The host is extremely accommodating.

Only accessible via steep stairs. Far away from the restaurants (1hr walk/10min drive). The rooms are quite small.

Authentic estate and lovely hostess. She attended to our needs and provided a lovely breakfast and conversation each morning. We came when the weather was especially warm, and the amount of shade from the surrounding trees was of great benefit.
