Great location along the water in Ville Franche

The interior is quite dated. There are no coffee or tea supplies in the room. One night when I needed a wine opener, they charged me $15, I was reimbursed when I checked out but for this price point I would expect a wine opener in the room. The carpet was dated, the bathroom floor was dated. Again, for the price point I would expect more amenities like robes, lotion, conditioner. The key situation is very strange. They only have one key per room and ask you to leave it at the front desk. Some of the staff are very helpful and some are mediocre. Come here for the great location, enjoy that! Don’t come for an updated interior and all the amenities. Have the woman with red hair help make all of your arrangements. She’s great.

The location was lovely with all rooms with a sea view even classic rooms, the views watching the fisherman come and go with there catch, , the history of the hotel with all the famous visitors, the friendly staff and excellent service, the breakfast is one of the best and value for money and variety, access to a sauna was a bonus, the town has lovely old alley ways worth exploring day and night

The hotel is a little dated but in keeping with it;s surrounding a theme but all in good working order. No kettel tea or coffee facilities.

The location on the harbor is superb. I still remember the hotel from my first trip here courtesy of the US Navy back in 1968. But then, I was anchored out in the harbor. Villefranche is a one of a kind venue and a delightful alternative to staying in NIce while still ahving full access to the environs. Very decent breakfast and friendly staff. It is a reasonable cab ride to the Nice Airport. The town has changed a lot in 50+ years, some for the good, some not so, but that is true everywhere. All in all, glad to revisit my first French port of call.

The ideally located bar only serves breadsticks and potato chips with drinks. They could provide more interesting and filling nibbles. It mioght result in more drink sales too!

Location of Welcome hotel I think is its main selling point right on harbour over looking the yachts and ideal for watching the world pass by . The seating area in the wine pier at the front of this hotel also adds to the perfect location

Ability to make a hot drink in own room would have added to the comfort of our stay. The area itself is expensive for drinks food etc__so to be able to enjoy a cuppa first thing of a morning and when wanted would of enhance this stay

At last, a Hotel with real people running it! Fabulous location in the harbour with much boating activity and processions of Super yacht tenders. Villefranche Sur Mer has great restaurants and bars so you can’t go wrong there either. The hotel rooms were made to look and feel like boat cabins which worked really well. The balcony was perfect for sipping rosé and watching the world idle by. Thank you Welcome Hotel team, you made a great memory!

The Welcome Hotel has a great personality, so picking holes in it is pointless. I didn’t like having to leave and I didn’t like standing up after a fabulous two hour breakfast watching the harbour.

Friendly staff. Clean, comfortable room, the location is perfect. Villefranche is a delightful weekend visit or base to look further afield or just to sit on its sandy beach. La Grignotierre is a great restaurant nearby.

The price is expensive for the hotel accommodation and facilities. For example the same breakfast is half the (eye watering) price at most of the waterfront cafes just outside. That said if the room price doesn’t make you stop in your tracks you’ll love it, just for the location.

This hotel is well known for its location, right on the water front, with stunning views across Ville Franche Bay. Glorious sunshine in the morning, but , note, the sea view balconies lose the sun early afternoon. Lots of restaurants to choose from within walking distance and local train station takes you East to Monaco or West to Nice and Antibes.

The outdoor furniture could do with an upgrade. Looking a bit tired. When the cruise ships arrive in the bay, the little town gets very busy indeed.

Fantastic staff , amazing location , great food and restaurant service !! Looking tired in dining area and lounge - seating is old and poor condition.

Best location possible, first line with the see. Our terrace was facing the beautiful harbor, an amazing scenery for a cup of coffee. Comfortable room. Valet parking available on site (although somewhat expensive). Very good breakfast. Very helpful staff. Excellent value for money, especially in off-peak period. Highly recommended!

This place was INCREDIBLE. The view of the harbor is gorgeous, breakfast on the balcony feels downright dreamy and indulgent (and delicious), the staff was so friendly and welcoming, and our room was really great! We had a newly refurbished room and it looked really chic, and was a great size. I could've stayed here for weeks and never gotten tired of it.

Our only complaints are that towel rentals from the front desk aren't free (maybe this is a French thing and I'm being a dumb American here? but it seemed strange that a beach hotel would charge 4 euro per towel) and that the price is of course a little high in general for a room. But it was so worth the experience.
