Nice small hotel. Great garden with shaddow and swimming pool to hide from midday heat! Hotel owner is very helpful and friendly. Railroad is near but windows have good sound insulation, so when windows are closed room is quite.

In one of the rooms main air conditioner was not working properly. Sometimes it was switching off by itself. Owner put 2nd air con in the room and temperature was ok but 2nd machine was making noise. Breakfast is very basic and expensive, we were buying breakfast outside of hotel. Hotel provides beach towels, but they they are not free. Price 6e per towel per day and we discovered it only on last day, so that was expensive surprise. Be careful.

This gorgeous small hotel feels very traditionally French with a lovely terrace/garden. My room had a fabulous balcony with a view to die for! I even said "wow" when I entered the room and saw the view. Close to trains passing by but that did not bother me at all. Friendly owner. I will certainly return as it was my favourite hotel out of 5 I stayed in during my time in France.

The coffee I had at breakfast wasn't very strong or hot. The walk from the train station took me 40 minutes as the hotel was not easy to find. I took a taxi back to station on check out day. The air conditioning is served by a ceiling fan. Looks great but not very effective when it's very hot. The hotel is actually located in Beaulieu-sur-mer, not Villefranche.

The accomodation was comfortable, rooms are small but with great views. What really stood out was warm welcome from our hostess. The location proved to be conveniently situated for exploring Villefranche area. Having parking available was a significant advantage, especially in this region where parking can often be challenging. Breakfast (12 eur/person) was traditional French - simple with fresh bread, pastries, jam and butter, and coffee.

Lucie was a gracious hostess and made us feel right at home! For a small fee, she will provide a delicious breakfast and/or a picnic lunch if requested. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely garden view. What a breath of fresh air instead of staying in Nice, among so many other people!

There are several levels, with steps throughout the home, which might be a challenge for some people.

The lady of the house is incredibly lovely. The villa is beautiful. There were a few misunderstandings but all turned out great. Book the large breakfast and if possible, enjoy it in the lovely garden! Maybe people travelling by train should be aware that the Beaulieu-sur-mer train station is easier to reach than the one in Villefranche-sur-mer. Beware of the bus drivers in town overcharging.

Great value for money, large room, fantastic shower and friendly staff. Previous reviews mentioned the train noise but I’m a light sleeper and they didn’t disturb me, it’s more of a whooshing sound than a loud rattle! The location was fantastic. At first we thought the hotel was a bit of a trek into Villefranche but actually it’s ideally located to wander into Beaulieu sur mer and walk around St Jean Cap Ferrat. It’s right on the bus route heading east & west and there’s a garage next door selling essentials.

The optional breakfast was very gluten heavy, but typical French. Would have preferred more variety of options.

Fantastically helpful and welcoming owner, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was fantastic. Amazing location, just 5 minutes from the nearest beach and 10 minutes walk to the railway station for trains to Nice or Monaco. Room was really comfortable and we loved the roof terrace.

The quaint setting/rooms. We also loved the hot tub and pool after a hot day out.

We travelled around the French Riviera and didn’t get bitten by bugs once, however we were covered in bites after one night in our room. There was a shelter and small courtyard outside our room which housed many plants and we believe that when we opened the door to our room the bugs got in in the night

Very charming and quaint. Spacious family room. Very clean. Lovely breakfast in the courtyard. Lucie was very welcoming and helpful. Just what we were looking for a small and friendly property in a beautiful location.

A little walk to the train stations/restaurants but everything was pretty close.

We were a little apprehensive given the previous mixed reviews, we needn't have been. The room was bright, clean, modern, yet fitting well within the older home's architecture and it fitted our family of four perfectly. This place isn't a sterile hotel like a big chain, but a refreshed French cottage that has personal touches. Yes, you can hear the occasional train, but it's not overly intrusive. The walk to the beach and on to the village for dinner had a few stairs, but wasn't particularly difficult. We enjoyed the walk and stopped for a drink en route. Breakfast was typical French with bread, cheese, plenty of good coffee and home made yoghurt. There was plenty of it and none of us went hungry.

The only thing we didn't enjoy is that we had only booked one night here, we could have easily stayed longer and spent some days lying on the beach enjoying the local food, wine and of course, hospitality.
