Great location 1 block from the train station. My room had 1 wall made of stone that added to its charm. Very modern multi-glazed windows that blocked out all train noise. Very comfy beds and black out drapes! Be aware it does not have a lift so ask for a lower floor!

Offered a 6 euro breakfast the next morning. Should have taken it ( Croissants, juice and coffee) in cheerful spot. They must pre order as when I asked if I could get the breakfast that morning they said noI had to make the reservation in advance. Walked several blocks for a similar breakfast at a higher price Would have been a 10 with a lift!

Manager/owner very friendly and helpful Location great for us as only 100m from the station. It is about a 15min walk to the old town which was no problem in fact quite nice to stretch our legs and stroll along the pleasant streets or alongside the beach Excellent value breakfast at 6 euros a head Room clean and cosy. Being a budget hotel there were limited extras such as no safe or shampoo but this is probably ok for the price It would have been nice for there to be extra pillows The sound insulation is not that great but it was pretty quiet during the night when we needed to sleep. It is close to the train line but you know this when you book. There is double glazing and we were not disturbed by the trains which do not run through the night in any case

The main advantage of this hotel is the proximity to the railway station: basically right next to one of the exits. It is very important if you want to do day trips by train to Nice, Monaco or to go to Italy by Ventimiglia. Impeccable sheets and towels, good water pressure and temperature for the shower and sink and decent size of the room. There are a couple of bars and pastry shops plus a Carrefour market in walking distance.

The breakfast costs 6 euros and is continental and very frugal so we opted out. There is no elevator and there is a spiral staircase that can be a problem if you are assigned to the top floor and you have big luggage. Also, for some people, the noise from the numerous passing trains can be a nuisance if you stay too much in the room during the day, but at night there are no trains. As a note: you have to be careful with the arrival, because the reception is closed between 2 PM and 5 PM and you can enter the building only if you have a code (no worries, it is given by the host on whatsapp in case you arrive when the reception is closed).

Hotel De Belgique à Menton is a comfortable, no frills spot next to the railway station. It's fairly simple, but is a great budget option for exploring Menton. Our room was nice and spacious, simple, but perfectly adequate. The staff were lovely, very helpful and were able to sort us a car parking spot right outside the hotel. They also have a very cute dog! It's right next to the train station, so would be ideal if you're coming by train. Despite being a little outside the old town of Mention, it's about a 15 minute walk to most of the main sights, so still fairly convenient to get around.

The bathroom is definitely a bit dated and could do with a revamp, with no overhead shower, but it's perfectly usable.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was clean and spacious with a lovely view. I thought that being near the station and being a light sleeper could be a problem but it wasn't at all, it was really quiet. The exposed brick decor was really cute and we really liked the view of the mountains from our windows. The staff were lovely and friendly, especially the guy who did our check-in and check-out. We would definitely recommend!

Room and bathroom facilities were clean with a nice balcony . Coffee and toiletries were a nice touch as was the honesty box for drinks and water etc. within budget for Avignon for me after visiting if I’d had a higher budget would have stayed in villeneuve-les-vignon which was beautiful. Personal choice and would highly recommend hotel de belgique for a budget stay in avignon

Nothing - was a walk from the station but was as I had expected.

The hotel is easy to access - next to the station - and a stone's throw away from the main streets and the sea. The staff is welcoming and friendly.

Please bring some earplugs, otherwise the train will wake you up early in the morning!

We had a good stay, the room was clean and spacious. The price-performance ratio is absolutely reasonable. The receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. Parking our bikes overnight in a safe and dry place was quite easy, the receptionist showed us a place in the hotel lobby. We had a good stay at Hotel Belgique in Menton.

Due to the proximity to the train station, the trains are quite noisy.

The hotel was right next to the train station, so we could leave our stuff quickly. It has a couple of restaurants and bakeries near by. The beach is at a 5 minute walk, so location is pretty great. The room is not too big, bit it has all that you need, we even had a balcony with a pretty view. The bed is also very comfortable, I believe the place might have been recently removated.

This is purely a matter of personal preference, but the fix shower. I prefer ones that can be moved around.

Cozy, clean, French-styled room, good value for money. Nice view from the balcony. Free parking on the street in front of the hotel. Late check in option, with entry code.

We were missing a shower head holder, a soap holder and a shower outlet. Not very good coffee in the bar.
