Friendly and very helpful staff. Quick and easy check-in. Easy off-street parking. We had a great, quiet, back-facing room. which was a bright and spacious room with a generous bathroom. (Sea facing rooms are tempting, but ther is a main road in front of the hotel which is a bit noisy.

Check in was easy and reception staff helpful and friendly.Room was bright, modern and spacious. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and fresh products. Hotel is on a busy road but glazing is very good and was not a problem at night.

Areas outside of rooms and lifts were dark and a bit scruffy and bags of laundry and cleaning equipment were often left lying around. It was a good 10/15 min walk into the old part of Menton where most restaurants and places of interest are.

The Napoleon is perfectly situated to explore beautiful Menton. We had a good sized seaview room with balcony. Every day our room was cleaned, fresh towels provided, bottled water, Coca Cola and fruit juices replenished. Bonus was the provision of exquisite L'Occitane toiletries - lush. Breakfast was continental style and delicious. Never too busy. Pool towels and beach towels available on request from reception. Staff were very welcome and helpful.

The only minor difficulty we experienced related to the air conditioning. For our first few nights, the room was just too warm for our liking so we approached the front desk for assistance on more than one occasion however various staff were unable to assist with one advising it was auto set at 19 degrees and could not be altered to a lower temperature. Perhaps comfortable for some but totally uncomfortable for us. Eventually (day 3) a night porter visited the room and instructed us how it operated.

It was easy to walk into town. Location was quiet. We had a room with a garden view. The breakfast was varied and good quality. The hairdryer was not too fierce which is usually the case

One sachet of milk in the room had gone off. We got some more from reception with no problem. One day we only had one bath towel so had to ask for another which we got again with no problem. I would have liked a electrical point near to a mirror for my heated hairbrush, but maybe this is not done for health and safety.

Great location, very close to the centre area; hotel parking for 12 euro, convenient and cheaper than street parking. Love the L'occitane hair and shower products, drip coffee, free mini bar. Another huge plus is the hotel offers a 7 euro small breakfast as an alternative to a big breakfast, excellent choice if you don't feel like eating a lot in the morning. The best part is the room was surprisingly quiet, we had the best sleep for the entire trip.

Some facilities seem a bit old.

Breakfast and selection of cheese was excellent. Decorr beautiful and very comfortable. I liked the location although it was very noisy …walk to train station was easy and bus right outside door. Staff lovely …the staff at breakfast were fatuous and so friendly. My room had every comfort imaginable.

I wish staff had known more about local sights to see.

Easy access to shops, post office, playground, close by carpark (parking in Menton is a nightmare!) private and public beach, restaurants (Leone is the best!), old town, cute small swimming pool and interconnecting doors (perfect for the family) rooms had a great view!

Bathroom need regrouting and fresh silicone.

Room was good size with a large balcony - only problem was that the road outside was noisy (as we had been warned). So that made using the balcony not really viable. Breakfast was good value - choice was a bit limited - but the price was reasonable. Bar, reception and waiting staff were lovely. Good location within easy walk of everything.

A well run hotel and a pleasant stay. Unfortunately the view from the bedroom was a bit obscured by the yacht car park - soon to be made bigger we gather. But look to the right up the bay and the view of Menton is lovely.

We liked the proximity to both the sea and the town. All the staff were very professional, friendly and genuinely interested in making your stay as enjoyable as possible. Breakfasts were excellent with such a wide choice and constantly replenished no matter when you were there. Everything about the hotel made for a relaxing break.

Hotel Napoleon is a good hotel. Excellent, large, clean & comfortable room with everything you need to make a pleasant stay. Staff were all very accommodating, and the hotel had a good breakfast selection.

We arrived for a few days late August, and the weather, although hot, was wet, and quite a few of the beach restaurants/bars had already closed down for the season. It is quite a long walk to town, (it's flat, so easy enough) but tyring having to do it several times, every day. The hotel had no cook/chef, so few options for a meal at night without shleping back to town. As a couple, we were overrun by families...
