We parked nearby and found the hotel easily enough from the city side. Staff were very welcoming and although one of rooms we booked was not ready they were very accommodating. We were pleasantly surprised by how close the hotel was to the seafront, as we'd expected it to be slightly further away. It made it a perfect location to spend the night and discover Menton. Room was a generous size and it was comfortable, with all expected amenities. Breakfast was nice, with great choice and the option to sit outside in the morning sunshine. All in all it was a lovely stay.

The breakfast area gets very busy, so make sure you avoid peak times. The pigeon deterrent in the outside seating area is both noisy and ineffectual - the pigeons just don't notice it! It is a constant high-pitched whine, which is quite annoying.

Great location, definitely the best part about the hotel. Room was a good size with plenty of storage space etc, not too noisy despite being on a main street and bed was large and comfy (although it was two single beds pushed together). Breakfast was busy but had a good selection of most things you'd want and nice that you could sit outside to have it.

Air-conditioning wasn't amazing, even when left on for long periods of time and the room smelt a bit funny when you returned to it, almost like stale cigarettes.

Location is excellent! Front door opens to shopping and old town area, back door opens to restaurant and beach. Everything is within walking distance. We paid the extra forty euros for a room with a balcony (had one small table and two chairs) overlooking the beach, it was the best forty euros we spent on the trip!! We loved this hotel and town so much we ended up booking an extra night and cutting out an other area of our trip. The beach directly in front of hotel is rocky and just ok, but if you turn left and walk about 500 yards you’ll find the sweetest little beach of small, smooth pebbles and crystal clear water. This beach is in a cove and has no waves, perfect for families with littles. There’s a shop right by the beach where you can purchase any beach item you could possibly need.

Room and bathroom were small…but honestly we did not care, we were hardly ever in the room. Majority of the staff was great, but the woman who worked the front desk was always grumpy (maybe apathetic is the better word?). My husband started referring to her as Broom Hilda, (Bruinhilde) and if we needed anything we’d wait until her shift was over so we could talk to someone else.

The location is excellent. The cleaning was excellent - the lady cleaner was accommodating to our routine. The male reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The bar staff were very helpful and friendly.

The room was small, but we did manage ok. The breakfast was disorganised. We ate it twice, the second time was slightly better than the first. The female reception staff were not very friendly. The pigeons in the hotel gardens are a nuisance and a health hazard - they should use some pest control. It deters you from using the gardens which is a shame.

This large well established hotel is on the sea front . The beach was opposite and a short walk away were others more child friendly. The marina is around the bay and there are numerous bars and restaurants along the front. Our room had a small balcony with a great view , we were close enough to hear the waves on the seashore. Although the resort is busy the Hotel is set back so it felt calm and relaxing. The room was small but well designed to include a good size bathroom, separate loo and adequate hanging space. There is a lift. Staff were helpful. Transport links are good.

A small fridge in the room would have been nice. There is renovation work on the property next door which didn’t affect us as it was a bank Bank holiday weekend but check before you book!

A wonderful hotel in a perfect location. A beautiful green oasis with a fabulous breakfast. It does not exude luxury, but the charm of an old beauty.

Cold, unapproachable and unorganized staff in the bar and restaurant. We stayed for two evenings and did not manage to make an appointment for dinner. The exception is the wonderful receptionist who welcomed us and the very friendly cleaners. If you don't speak French, you won't manage - not even a word of English exists anywhere. Not even in the menu. (only in English it is written to put away your plate after breakfast).

The position of the property was excellent and was one of the old hotels buildings which in keeping with the area. The food was excellent and even though we went for the set menu it was outstanding and my husband is a difficult eater. Sitting out the front of the hotel was lovely for breakfast. We were Road side eg back of hotel which was excellent because the room was cool unlike the rooms facing the sea.

It was a little tired in places but not enough to make me not book again.

The location was excellent, right next to the beach. The room was big with a big bathroom as well. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again in the summer, but would probably splurge on a sea view room. The hotel is also pet friendly and we got to see a few dogs in the elevator, which was great.

The only thing is that I wish there was a bit more variety for breakfast, but overall it was not bad and had everything I needed.

The location is outstanding

They need to manage better how to make rooms, it should be more rigorous. However it's not a big problem, they are always flexible to help you. I've been in this hotel since 2014/5 it has been always same problem....so I know this issue but the location compensate all.

The location is superb — right in front of the beach! The reception was also lovely as well as the breakfast!!! The breakfast was amazing.

The only thing was the cleanliness didn’t seem like a deep clean to me. It was clean just noticed was a bit of poop stained on top left in the toilet that I think they missed when cleaning: however not a dealbreaker but for that price with a water view I’d want it to be superb. I’d definitely come back here though.
