A quaint and characterful hotel. Perfectly situated for exploring La Souterraine. The dinner was very nice and welcoming The room was quiet and peaceful. The evening staff were very nice and friendly.

The room was a bit cramped with a very tiny shower and a loo that was so cramped you couldn’t close the door. The breakfast was disappointing and not worth the price.

The staff is so nice and hospitable! Very accommodating and I really appreciate that they accept AMEX. FINALLY, in FRANCE!!!!

It was insanely HOT. I can handle no AC but a tiny fan would make all the difference. End of the day it was a perfect 1-2 night stay along our tour of France.

Wanted to be walking distance to station, shops and centre of town. Location perfect. Lovely view of city from the room. Wonderful food smells from the restaurant connected to the hotel.

We booked a budget room, so it was tight, but to be expected. For the price, it was great value for money. Lot of stairs, but also to be expected in Francé in character buildings, all worth it!.

The hotel water stopped so nobody could wash. One poor girl was having to cope with the emergency on her own.

the location was ideal for the overnight stop I needed on my journey. the building and décor was full of character. I felt comfortable and stimulated by it.

the bathroom was cramped and the bedroom was small- ok for one person for one night but I don't feel it would be big enough for a couple spending a few nights at the hotel

Breakfast was adequate. No cold milk for tea or coffee. No staff while we were at breakfast to help.

Location is excellent Friendly staff The wonderful complete breakfast buffet. For € 10.50 a bit steep in price but worth it when you get this wide selection of bread, pastries, fruit etc.

The carpet in the corridors and on the stairs definitely needs to be replaced

The room was small as advertised on Bookings.com but we were placed on the top third floor when the hotel appeared to be very empty . The room and hotel had no air conditioning so with 40 % heat it was difficult to sleep
