From time to time, you come across a B&B that goes way beyond to make your stay feel like home comfort. Les Bardinieres is one such place. Pam and her mad Swedish biker husband gave a warm welcome, even though we arrived late, and introduced us to their rustic but beautiful Gite. Their kindness and attention to detail made our stay, one to happily remember, including a surprise bottle of very nice french wine and beer, to wash the croissants and French cheeses we bought earlier. Very pet friendly with access to their large fields for exercise. The double bedroom was very comfortable. However, the wood burning fireplace in the lounge made it extra cosy. We would definitely stay again should our journey pass near on the way to and from Spain to UK. Ps./ Liked the small night lights plugged in should one need to get up at night.

Nothing. I wish more B&Bs and Hotels find the magic that makes a place more welcoming rather than just being a clean places to stay.

Pam runs a superb cottage next to her own longhouse barn conversion. She is an absolute gem of a hosts and the property made us feel at home immediately. So much space! The log burner was roaring away when we arrived and fridge stocked. The location is so peaceful and in beautiful countryside close to the Loire valley. Very friendly cat and dogs but not intrusive at all. Pam could not have been more helpful - we left after one night wishing we could have stayed for a week! Thank you so much - we obviously left the best to last on or road trip! :-)

The place is wonderful, very calm, felt like arriving at an oasis of green after our long biking day. Pam welcomed us with a bottle of rosé d'Anjou and a delicious home made tartiflette. Accommodation is charming, spacious, and very comfortable. Highly recommended.
