I liked everything... His food was amazing and catered to my vegan needs perfectly. His little doggo is such a cutie and had breakfast with me and my doggo by/on my feet on the first morning. Christophe went above and beyond but I think maybe to him his actions are basic ones. Very calm atmosphere throughout. Lovely views from both upstairs and the balcony thingy (but it's not actually a balcony...) and the village is only an 8 min walk from his. Bedroom and ensuite were so lush! Rustic but modern. Everywhere has art of some descript and I loved it. He takes a lot of pride in his B&B and my god it pays off! Info for other vegans: The area itself is not so vegan friendly (but not much if France is I found). Also, if you're also an ethical vegan, there may be some triggers in the area which I had to work hard on. To reiterate though - Christophe made amazing vegan food though and took that worry away for dinner and breakfast. There's more great things, I know there are, but I doubt there'd be enough space to write it all in here.

If there was Aircon then it would've been even more amazing!! Fan above bed which was good but it was so bloody hot at the time that I personally needed a bit more.

Very friendly host who pays attention to details. We stayed twice within 2 weeks at this property, with our dog, and then with our son. Situated just outside the village of Saint Genix - 10 minute walk- The house looks a bit run down from the outside, but wait until you go inside! The host is a cook, wine lover, Dali passionate, and it shows in the decor of his place. 3 tastefully decorated rooms, with recycled material, attached bathroom, and ceiling fan. Very comfortable (tall people, mind the sloping roof of 2 of the bedrooms) Terrace for dinner and breakfast - plentiful, with fresh fruits, yogourts, French pastries, local bread, homemade jams, juices (I was even offered scrambled eggs as I am gluten intolerant- Stairs are as described on the site. Free Parking on site. Wifi is working fine.

I initially chose to stay at La Maison Fleur de Frangipanier based on its location and reasonable price; an overnight stay on a long motorbike road trip across Europe. However I cannot express enough my joy at finding myself here. Christophe (and his dog) was an excellent host, welcoming and kind and to top it off an incredible chef (this just Christophe, I don’t think Millot did any cooking). If you choose to stay here I sincerely recommend you stay for dinner, it was excellent. The room was clean and well presented. There were lots of small thoughtful touches; the pillows smelled of mint, a reusable water bottle left in the room and USB chargers which are ideal for international travellers. Outside there was carport for my bike which was great for unpacking as unfortunately it was raining. I enjoyed my stay and will certainly visit again.

Really useful location for cycling the Rhone. Groovy old building.super friendly wee dog welcomed us.The real star of the show is the owner/chef, he has created something very special. really cool eclectic decor, wonderful dining room and lounge. Awesome sound system with smooth, cool tunes. Best of all..... there's the food and wine, the best meal I've had this year, fantastic wines picked for each course, just a special, classy, pleasurable experience. An unexpected surprise. Breakfast was wonderful. Loved our stay.

Christophe has a wonderful, positive service attitude. His B&B is quirky, classy, and comfortable. Loved the huge bathroom, bathtub, fast wifi. But the food? Amazing Michelin level dinner and breakfast. Extremely reasonable prices. Locked garage for our bikes. And he had them out and ready for us when we left! Very unusual place.

Hmmm, the outside could use some work, but give him time and I am sure it will be first rate. Till then, don't judge a book by its cover!

We really enjoyed the warm welcome, exceptional food and service within the quirky surroundings. Christophe is a fantastic host, chef and sommelier and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Highly recommended!

The fan in the room wasn't up to the intense heat and humidity that night. We were very hot! The exterior and surroundings of the building doesn't indicate how good it all is inside. It didn't affect how we felt about our visit.

An amazing experience, Christophe is a magnificent host and provides a private dining experience like no other. His house is beautiful in a gorgeous part of France. The stay, the dinner, the breakfast, the wine and beer he produces himself… all brilliant.

Stylish bedroom and bathroom. Engaging, friendly host. Opportunity to enjoy excellent food and interesting, accompanying wines provided by a knowledgeable host.

In the hot weather the 'air conditioning' (actually a ceiling mounted fan) was ineffective and opening the windows left us subject to significant traffic noise from the road.
