The entire building is from 1438 - yes the Middle Ages! There is also a waterfall that literally touches the breakfast area! Incredible! We had a room with twin beds and it was perfect. Beautiful view, great towels, bedding, closet space, everything I wanted. Internet was aided by a mobile unit that strengthened coverage and I was able to have Zoom meetings with no issues. We had dinner at the spectacular restaurant, worthy of 1 star Guide Michelin. All the staff are extremely sweet, cheerful and competent. I would come back in a heartbeat!

Nothing to dislike!

Location is incredible and unique. Hotel is situated in the reserved natural area right at the Cascades de Tufs park, with one of the cascades on the territory having the rooms overlooking it. This results in certain micro climate - it's humid and fresh even during heat. Hotel itself has all necessary modern facilities and service, such as pillow menu, modern sanitary, very good beds and linen. At first glance may seem a bit gloomy but ones has to stay longer to appreciate the atmosphere. Restaurant was good.

Amazing location in the nature park, walking distance to a beautiful waterfall. Amazing hiking around. Extremely quiet at night. The rooms are simple but functional with a very nice bathroom. We stayed in the tower so can’t speak about the main building rooms but is suspect they are similar. Nice fine dining restaurant on site. If you want to eat somewhere else, you will have to drive 15/20 minutes to Arbois. Easy drive. Overall perfect for 2 nights.

Absolutely stunning location , surrounded by a cirque, with it's own waterfall in the garden. The staff are very friendly and helpful, we had a "superior room with a balcony" which was lovely, very clean and nicely furnished...and a real highlight is the hotel's restaurant, which is simply superb.

Other than maybe being slightly pricey, my only suggestion might be that there are no sunshades around the pool. It is quite a small area so maybe that is why, but it gets extremely hot in the afternoon by the pool and there is no shade.

Room was fine, however the restaurant is the high note. Also the location which allows a nice walk to the local waterfall and then on to the river source. Both menus were very good, the poached egg in truffle soup, beef and chocolate layers of the daily menu and the truffle soup. Veal sweetbreads, pork, cheese and plum desert of the ‘Menu Castel’. The most surprising dish was the liquid cheese of the cheese course, almost a mini fondue. The veal sweetbreads were nice and soft, maybe it’s the season but these seemed to be a popular menu entry on this trip.

The room was lovely and the location is wonderful - a fairy-tale setting with fabulous waterfalls within a short walking distance. We also appreciated the fact that our dog was welcome, both in the room and in the dining- and breakfast rooms. The breakfast buffet was terrific!

We were not wild about dinner in the house restaurant. The food was fine, but the service was overly stiff. Although it is clear that a great deal of thought (and expense) has been put into the dining room's decor, for me the effect was spoiled by the harsh lighting: overhead fixtures emitting cold, blue-tinged light.

Lovely property in the countryside. Room in the tower was spacious and comfortable. Evening meal was very good.

Not really an issue but breakfast starting at 8.15am was too late for us as we wanted to get driving.

It’s a real little gem that we feel very fortunate to have found. The location is absolutely beautiful and so peaceful, we had a fantastic night stay here. We were really pleased with the super comfortable beds, clean rooms, a fridge and mini bar- not to mention they are dog friendly too. We were very lucky to have been treated to a room upgrade for both the rooms we booked, the upgrade was a lovely gesture and the suites were just lovely. We would highly recommend a visit if you are passing through the area.

Beautiful period property deep into the French countryside with its own waterfall and stream adjoining the outdoor dinning area. Modern shower/bathroom facilities with fabulous views from our bedroom window. Something very special and worth visiting.

Beautiful establishment in an amazing landscape. Hotel and restaurant were exceptional and the waiters were also very good and friendly with a good sense of humour with the difference in language. Compliments to the chef, we had a great fine dine dinner.

We had no complaints. It unfortunately rained all the time so we could not enjoy the beautiful scenery as much as we would have liked, but of course that is nobody's fault.
