Beautifully designed apartment in the heart of Arbois, with a very nice view of the square. Comfortable, clean, with two spacious rooms, a living room and a kitchen. Nice bonus is the fresh croissants and bread every morning at your door.

When we arrived they had placed two portable A/C devices in the living room and main bedroom, but in order for the machines to operate they had the windows open, for the A/C tubes to reach out, through the windows. This is not very environmentally friendly.

Breakfast was basic but very pleasant. The apartment was spacious and very comfortable and well equipped. Lovely shower and good quality towels. Great central location. Excellent stay.

Poor supply of tea and coffee. Finding the location was initially confusing due to the different names of the restaurant and apartment block. Lack of parking was a minor issue and difficult and slightly dangerous drop off for luggage.

Thoughtfully furnished/appointed and very spacious 2BR apartment on main square in Arbois. Owners are proprietors of restaurant below (Le Comptoir du Docks) with delicious local specialties.

Issues with TV (during Olympic Games in Paris) which staff made effort to fix but was never fully resolved.

Good sized comfortable well furnished apartment in lovely small town of Arbois. A great deal of thought has gone into decorating and furnishing the apartment. Immaculately clean and very comfortable bed. Exceptional value for money. Restuarant downstairs excellent.

Apartment if on main square and bar opposite is very noisy until midnight. Teenagers roaming around in gangs shouting until early hours of the morning. We needed windows open as it was warm and it was very noisy. If we'd used aircon we would still have had to open window as it's a mobile unit which vents outside. Would have been perfect if bedroom had built in aircon and windows which could have stayed shut and kept the noise out.

In a trip replete with superlatives, the Comptoir was exceptional indeed. Beautiful, well appointed apartment. Exceptionally clean. Quiet. Beautiful view over town square and environs. Very kind, warm and welcoming hosts. Very lovely breakfast with fresh bread delivered to you door. Will return as soon as I can.

Our apartment (4 people) was huge, despite the fact that it is located in the very center of the city. Excellent location - despite some reviews about the apartment located on the main city square, the noise from the windows was not a problem at all due to good sound insulation. Liked the staff! Very helpful people, guided us with many "touristy" questions :) Pizzeria and a restaurant in the ground floor, so you can skip the self-catering works from time to time :) Car parking is not available, but unlike the most touristic cities, there are plenty of free public parking places, just in 3 minutes walk. It is also possible to leave the car shortly outside the building if you need to unload or load luggage.

I would change bedside cabinets to non-metallic because they make noise.

It was like a home away from home. We wanted for nothing and the staff were fabulous, nothing was too much trouble. It was a great base to explore the area from.

There is nothing not to like about the property.

Too much noise from the square in front at night. BATHROOM DOOR IS NOT SOUNDPROOF.

Camille and Mum were great, looked after me beautifully. Apartment very clean and functional. Great location in town square. Nice touch was magnificent baguette and croissants in the basket by my door in the morning.

Everything was exceptional, must come back with my wife.
