A great hotel right in the middle of the quaint Arbois town. It does not open until 3pm, but the owner kindly let us put our heavy bike clothes in the bar while we walked around. The room was spotless, and the shower was great. Best of all was the AC, as even in Sept the weather was hot. For bikers, there is a locked garage just 100m away, big enough for maybe 10 cars / bikes - perfect !

The bar was closed in the evening. Went back for a night cap, but all locked up :(

There is no better way to start your discovery of Jura's region and its charming wine town of Arbois than to spend several days at the Logis Hôtel des Messageries. This elegant and at the same time homey hotel is located in the centre of Arbois, with easy access to the Museum of the Vigne et du Vin, great restaurants, local speciality shops and, importantly, free parking nearby. Our room was spacious, very clean and well equipped and the common areas were large and nicely decorated. The host was very kind and helped with any questions we had.

Our only regret was not staying longer!

A classic, traditional French hotel, situated close to the town centre. It was clean, with friendly staff. Located next to the centre of Arbois, the staff had excellent suggestions for dinner and the town was a true delight, very French but not overly touristy!

It was a pity the bar and restaurant were not open as they looked comfortable.

An ideal little hotel: cozy and charming, centrally located in a delightful small town, comfortable and pleasant. The room was a good size, not cramped at all; it had a small fridge to boot which was most convenient in hot summer. No a/c but there was a very nice ceiling fan which made it very pleasant once the evening cool came through the window. Staff very friendly and helpful, spoke English no problem. Excellent value for money.

Parking is available on the streets nearby; not super-convenient, but once figured out it's no problem. Breakfast was a standard continental, with upcharges for any extras like charcuterie.

The manager who helped me there was superb. Very friendly, and went twice out of her way to help me with issues such as a double booking (fault on Booking.com's side) as well as helping during the train strike in France. It is also very centrally located, hard to beat the location. Breakfasts are also good value.

Older people should know there is no elevator, so if physical strength might be a problem, travel with a younger strong man to carry your luggage 😉

Great location. Comfortable room. Free parking all over town. Convenient to restaurants and winery tasting rooms.

Owner/manager was stretched thin as the only one on site other than housekeepers. Breakfast was expensive for the limited selection.

Location, the room, very nice & personable owner-operator, good bathroom facilities,... A/C plus reversible rotation ceiling fan for lots of choice for temp comfort.

Hotel owner, Marie, was very welcoming and very helpful in making dining recommendations and reservations. I especially liked how quiet the hotel was and relaxing. The breakfast was very nice.

Lovely old building in the heart of a beautiful town and region. Perfect stop-off on a long journey back to the UK.

There’s quite a bit of road noise at night (we had the balcony doors open for some fresh air). But it only disturbed one of us so can’t have been too bad!
