Setting and location is excellent. Even if you don’t stay here make sure you visit the restaurant it’s excellent, not cheap but worth every penny. No air con but we knew that before we went it just happened to be red hot when we stayed, but the window was easy to open and there were nets to stop day and night time bugs. The staff were really good, there but not intrusive. The dog came too …… so how do we rate it on welcoming the dog. Excellent again, there are extensive lawns for ours to have a run around on (not secure so a lead or good recall is,required). No extra charge for the dog to say and he was allowed in all areas so could stay with us when eating indoors and out, he is quiet and lays under the table. Easy access to the bin store for cleaning up after your mutt.

It is a lovely old building situated on its grounds off the beaten track. Beautifully tranquil with a nice outlook. Good secure parking. Very clean, good hot water supply. Breakfast has all the essential French ingredients, fresh croissants, bread, cold meats, cheese, cereals, juices etc. with a bonus of a wide selection of gluten-free products. We were well looked after by two members of staff who made us feel welcome. We would stay again and can recommend Chateau de la Motte.

Unfortunately, the restaurant is closed on Sunday evening, which happened to be the time of our arrival so we were unable to try the tempting menu.

Set in a quiet countryside location, Friendly staff who were also very helpful. Room was large and had a good bathroom with a nice shower. It's an older building with charm and character and we enjoyed the restaurant for the evening food. It makes for a great stop for a short drive/ride to Calais either way.

The hotel is set in a quiet, rural location. The room was really good with a separate sitting room with sofa, a separate bedroom and a shower room. The shower was really good and the bed was comfortable. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was good with plenty of choice. All the staff were helpful and friendly.

A stunning property, well maintained. Beautifully decorated with all mod cons. Immaculately clean, with plenty of towels, and a spacious side room to put all out luggage in. Friendly staff, plenty of parking, and good food in the restaurant. Out in the countryside, so very quiet. You can sleep with the windows open and there is no noise! Very reasonably priced.

Nothing at all!

The location is superb (well, if you like peaceful countryside; I wouldn't recommend it to disco bunnies or architectural brutalists, but we loved it!) The room wasn't perfect (see below) but it was comfortable and had everything you need.

There's a slight sense of not quite reaching the aspirations they claim. I suspect this is heavily down to Covid and loss of income, but there were a few minor issues with the room - nothing worth complaining about, but not perfect - and the restaurant staff seemed a bit overworked. Also, the English version of the website gives perhaps a misleading impression of how multilingual the staff are. Breakfast was definitely overpriced for what we got.

Beautiful building and location (village nearby had a lovely quick circular walk). Accepts dogs. Good parking. Room was huge and newly refurbished. Lots of options for tea/coffee and hot chocolate. Staff were lovely and we managed to get by on minimal language.

There was a big party the evening we were there. We had been given a wuieter room which was great. Some of the guests were really rude to us but has nothing to do with the hotel.

I picked a day when the restaurant was closed but I knew that in advance (Sunday). Consequently I made my own food arrangements A very peaceful and beautiful place. Tranquil surroundings. Everyone I met was very friendly and helpful. Very relaxed

There are some repairs to do but always work to do here! Sunday is a very quiet day here. But room facilities were fine and I was well rested.

Really lovely. Characterful room, welcoming fire and exceptional food. Helpful and friendly staff. V handy for the EV3. Excellent value for money.

I liked everything!

Beautiful house in a very calm setting. Very modern och clean rooms. Easy parking. The restaurant also offered good food and a nice experience.

The reception and restaurant showed a high leval of friendly hospitality but they have even more potential to raise the level of the common areas and service.
