Easy check in, central location, the room has a bed, a shower and a toilet. What else do you need? We were even allowed a late check out!
I hope you speak some French, because the woman at the check in desk does not speak anything else ;)

I had a room with city views, over the road to a mall. nice large terrace but no furniture there. Otherwise a normal room.

Our room was at the back of the hotel so there was no traffic noise. No English at reception.
There is no parking except for parking in the street. We had a ground floor unit, very strangely configured. One part had the bed and television and the bathroom was down the other end. In the middle there is the building lift! We only heard a few people talking in the early evening. There is no door separating the two halves of the unit and no shower curtain so if you have a shower you can flood the floor. Anyone using the bathroom can't be seen from the bed area although they can be heard. There is no air conditioning and not even a fan so it was a most unpleasant stay.

Location was great as the on site restaurant was expensive. Right in the middle of the town. We easily travelled to Mons the next day.
The on site bar was only open to people using the restaurant???

Hotel was inexpensive,clean and near the train station.
On checking out I was given a bill for 10 euros which I paid due to my inability to understand French although I subsequently found out it was for breakfast which I didn't request and although promised a refund for this I never received one or any explanation why I was charged for it

Manager was very concerned that our experience with the waitress from hell should not detract from the excellence of the evening meal. He made every effort to recover the spirit of service that we should have initially expected. Excellent management skills.
The room was advertised with a terrace. Well, yes but it overlooked the front car park alongside a main road. Room was small and cramped. (Shower room however, was modern and stylish)
