We stayed for one night in order to visit "Mons en Lumières". The hotel location was ideal for this as we were really close to the route of the "lights". We were also lucky to find a spot inside the parking yard of the hotel for 25euros for the whole day. The staff was really nice and willing to help. We asked for some slippers and they offered us free of charge and because the room was a little bit cold, they provided us with a portable heater.

Even though we had a pleasant stay i would like to mention a couple of things that we didn't like and some that could improve our stay. The hotel is a complex of buildings and we didn't stay in the main one which means that when you leave your room you have to go outside in order to enter the main building-reception-breakfast. The bed even though it was big it was not very comfortable (in fact 2 not very thick mattresses combined). The lack of a radiator in the bathroom was strange and really cold air entered the main room when we opened the door. Another bizarre thing was that the telephone in the room was not working, it was not connected to the line at all.

The reception at Martin's Dream Hotel was outstanding, with the staff being incredibly friendly, kind, and attentive. A special mention goes to Oliver, who went above and beyond to assist us with a room change after we had some concerns about our initial room. The hotel is perfectly located in Mons, making it convenient for exploring the city. It's clean, offers on-site parking, and the unique setting in a converted old chapel adds a fascinating charm, with some rooms featuring beautiful old ornaments. Additionally, the breakfast was outstanding, offering a great selection and variety of food and drinks. I would gladly stay here again if I return to Mons and highly recommend it to others.

While my overall experience at Martin's Dream Hotel was positive, I did notice that some areas could benefit from a bit of refurbishment. There were small signs of wear and tear, such as worn sheets, caulk in the corners of the showers, and some paint needing a touch-up. These are minor issues, but addressing them would enhance the overall experience.

We did not have breakfast. The room they gave us was in the annex building. It was spacious, had a small table with two chairs and a desk with a chair. There was a kettle on the desk with some decaf coffee and tea bags. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was big and bright with a nice shower and a good hairdryer.

Not a big deal, but the bedroom was badly lit. Only a couple of ceiling lights worked, so you could not see inside the wardrobe very well. We wished there had been caffeinated coffee, instead of decaf.

Family Suite was large, had a box kitchen, a huge king bed and a single bed. Perfect for a family of 3. Breakfast was fantastic, with every hot delicious breakfast food you can imagine! Rooms were very clean, and the ambiance of the Belgium decorations added to a cool vibe.

Actually, I can't think of anything that could improve. The front desk was helpful, the lounge bartender was exceptional, the breakfast staff to friendly. It was very good!

The staff were extremely good, very nice and helpful in many ways (also providing housekeeping out of hours). Great location for visiting the town. Quiet room. Good parking outside the hotel, private and safe.

Breakfast was average. The room decor was cheap and the cleanliness was fine except for the carpets. No coffee machine in the room. Toiletries were very modest. No courtesy water.

Very nice hotel in good location. I could even park my car just in front of the entrance in the street. Check-in and check-out were pretty simple. Unusual room and quite enough space for family of 3: extra bed was for free for our kid although the main bed was so large that we could sleep altogether on it :)

The view from the room didn't meet our expectations - there was a panoramic city-view from upper floors on attached photos in my reservation. However in reality we lived on the 1st floor, and window was looking just on the wall, which was about 5-10 meters in front of us.

Really excellent hotel. The rooms are immaculate and well appointed. The breakfast is perfectly adequate. Reasonable price for the quality. Highly recommended

The website says that they accept ecocheques as payment but two staff members couldn't figure out how it make the card reader accept the payment, the only disappointment but doesn't matter for the majority of visitors.

Breakfast was good and the position excellent. the staff was kind and really helpful

it was not possible to set the room temperature (blocked on fix settings depending on the season) and was also not possible to open the window... so i suffered a bit the first night because it was too hot. then i checked under the bed in order to pick up some stuff that i dropped and it was really dirty (i could see the rests of former customers...)

Our two fourth floor rooms had remote controlled shades. Narrow twin beds. Excellent breakfast buffet style with a pancake maxima kids loved.

Hallway floors are black, rooms are small, had funky pillar in the rooms, rooms very small, overpriced for what it is. Not my dream. Had booked connecting rooms, but learned at hotel that the property doesn’t have any. Received several emails offering upgrades and spa treatments, wish they had just told me that they had no connecting rooms.

The location was quiet & central with private paid parking. The hotel was very stylish & original, as it was an old church ~ we had a fabulous window in our room. The room was clean, had a large comfy bed & decent hanging space for clothes & luggage. The bathroom well lit with a magnifying mirror! (Always a plus). The restaurant served bistro-style food which was very good & they adapted to GF dietary requirements both in the evening & at breakfast which was also good. The staff were friendly & welcoming. We would definitely stay again.

Only negative comment - it would have been good to have an EV charger in the car park.
