We had a beautiful stay with our family at the boutique hotel of chateau de Mazan. This beautiful Provençal old mansion, which once belonged to the de Sade heir, has been authentically renovated to a luxurious hotel, which still breaths the old spirit but with modern comfort and lots of good taste. The rooms are spacious and fresh through the airco (even at 34 degrees Celsius outside), and well isolated from noise. I would recommend booking a room in the main building. The surrounding terrace, garden and pool are also beautiful and calm. This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Very good breakfast with homemade pastries and local ingredients. Also the restaurant in the evening is delicious, in a romantic setting on the terrace with a view on the garden and the illuminated castle. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Do not expect a five star hotel but an authentic boutique hotel in a familial atmosphere. You can book a parking spot on the private parking next to the hotel, which is recommended. The parking space is not accessible for very low cars.

We enjoyed our staying in this beautiful chateau, which belonged to Marquis de Sade and as a welcome gift, we received a double upgrade for the room. Parking on site is a big plus. Staff were super helpful and polite when asking for options to eat or directions to a supermarket( easy to get there by walking). Beds were comfortable and room size was great. We enjoyed the view from our room ( he stayed in a junior suite).

The location is really nice, nicely decorated, stuff is helpful, check in and check out happened super fast, the room is well equipped and the pool was great. Mazan is a charming little village, very close to a lot of must sees in Provence.

Breakfast was average, in the first day of our three nights I believe everything was from the previous day. We booked a dinner at the restaurant, the food was actually nice, but for a fancy restaurant, I was surprised to see that some tables had table cloth on the them, some had those plates protections typical to fast food (they had a large group simultaneously, might have ran out:) ). The cleaning was mostly OK, but we had some ants in the bathroom and it was never cleaned around the area. I would have appreciated some history about the hotel, might have missed it, but anyway, it was not obviously placed.

We stayed two nights but the water and coffee service were not replenished in our room with room service. The price for drinks in the restaurant seemed higher than other 4-star South of France resorts that we stayed at and the service was a little slow. Please note, that there is no shower - only a handheld in the tub. We are fine with this but good to know going in. Also, the toilet in our room was not in the bathroom but in a separate room. Not a big deal, but a bit of traveling back and forth to wash hands. We had expected this, but if you don't, it is a bit of a surprise. Overall a pleasant stay.

A lovely hotel in a quiet town amid lovely countryside. We had a room on the ground floor with the garden outside, so ideal for our dog. Excellent dinner and a good breakfast. A reasonable price for this standard of hotel.

There was a phishing attack via booking.com so that I received messages purporting to be from the hotel that asked for credit card details. I do not know whether the hotel or booking.com were to blame for the security lapse, but I was assured it had been addressed and no damage was done.

We really liked our stay at Château Mazan! The location was stunning, the place was peaceful, and our room had direct access to the beautiful garden. The pool was refreshing and pleasant (although a little too shady in the afternoon), and the decoration throughout the château was exquisite.

We were disappointed with certain aspects of our experience. The portion sizes for the two-course dinner were too small, and we ended up ordering a cheese plate to satisfy our hunger. Additionally, the pricing of the cocktails appeared inconsistent. The staff seemed inexperienced, especially regarding the cocktail menu and beverage service. We also encountered attitude and indifference from some staff members. During the couple's face treatment, one beautician seemed rushed and inattentive.

The staff were running around a bit stressed at breakfast. And as we all now, you should never show the guests that you are stressed. Maybe they should have had one more person to help.

No parking unless you book in advance, restaurant was closed neither parking or restaurant mentioned when we booked. no separate shower (sit in bath which made a shower challenging)

- The shower was calcified - A little pricey, for the price the shower should’ve worked smoothly. Since we stayed just one night, it was not that much of a big deal - For the price, parking should be included (it has cost us 15€ for one night).

Really beautifully renovated Chateau with a charming garden. We had a family suite with a lot of space and the interior decor was really nice. Food was also very good and staff friendly.

The pool did not seem very inviting.
