Mixed experience - the chateau is gorgeous, its completely renovated so offers all comfort staff is friendly. The golf court is great so thats why you should come here!

Still improvement is needed, WIFI is worthless, dinner options are very limited - no daily special for example so ok for 1 maybe 2 eveningsbut not more. quality of the food is equally not consistent; Breakfast options are extremely limited and certainly not up to 5 star standards (some days there is no butter, all prices are 5 star prices however.

We had an amazing stay at Alexandra Palace. The room is very clean and light, the food and drinks are high quality and the service is exceptional. They are so kind, professional and always in for a quick chat. We’ve been to many hotels, but never been in a hotel with such a great team to make your stay as pleasant as they can. If we must give a small advice: the snack/lunch menu (other than the restaurant) could be filled with a little more options if you like to enjoy your holiday at the swimming pool.

Elegant spacious chateau that has been restored beautifully and transformed into a hotel. Our room was at one end so we had windows on two sides, which was lovely and bright, and gave us a great view over the golf course and pool. Staff friendly and helpful.

We were there 5 nights and the dinner menu didn't vary (and no vegetarian options). They also ran out of wines on their list, despite having a huge wine cellar.

The castle is fully restored and offers many comfortable details. It certainly meets the standards of a contemporary building. The staff warmly attends to the guests’ needs. The meals in the restaurant were at the level of a Michelin-starred restaurant. Laurent, our maîte, gave the service a distinguished touch with his unique charm. Chateau Alexandra is worth a journey.

Beautiful, ornate chateau. Easy to find and park if arriving by car. Staff excellent, in particular the receptionist who checked us in (Portuguese guy) Room very comfortable, spacious and clean. Effective air con. Well equipped with gown/slippers, tea/coffee, etc. Elegant restaurant Our third stay and never disappoints!

Lacking a magnifying mirror in bathroom. Also, a bottle of water in room would have been appreciated. Very minor points as overall we had an excellent experience!

Visually striking property, ideally located within a very enjoyable parkland golf course. Breakfast and dinner was excellent. All staff members acted professionally and very courteously.

Only one point - my Landrover satnav could not find the property. Had to revert to WAZE to find it. Would suggest the management include What3Words within the booking information- to take the stress out of arrival.

The property is incredibly beautiful and really impressive. The nearby forest, golf course and green fields are really pretty.

I liked far more the building and its fixtures, doors, windows, interior panelling, ceiling… more than the furniture which I did not like us much. The exterior with the pool and the outside terrace is gorgeous. The room decoration was convinient and well thought.

The setting of this hotel is stunning, and we had a great view of the golf course from our room. Amazing golf course on-site that's worth playing ever if you have to rent clubs. Pool is very refreshing and terrace lovely for an evening drink. The staff were very helpful and even offered us a room to shower in after golf when we had already checked out at no extra cost. Great value for money.

If you're into bright lavish decor you may find the gold and paintings a little much.

This is a beautiful property, with a stunning pool! Rooms were clean and spacious. Air conditioning was the best I’ve experienced at a hotel and staff were so friendly and helpful!!

The breakfast says it’s served until 10am, but we came at 9:30am and they had no sausages or bacon left and didn’t make any more. The eggs were also cold. More gluten free options would also be helpful. Otherwise nothing to complain about.

Rooms were very clean, opulent and spacious. Breakfast was of a very good quality. We have an evening meal at the restaurant which was excellent. Despite the fact that the hotel was short-staffed that evening (there was only one person serving to the entire restaurant) he kept a very calm head and didn’t allow that situation to impact on our meal. We only had one night there but will definitely be returning.

The only point to make was that the bathroom, which was very spacious, didn’t have sufficient places to hang towels / bathrobes.
