The castle is fully restored and offers many comfortable details. It certainly meets the standards of a contemporary building. The staff warmly attends to the guests’ needs. The meals in the restaurant were at the level of a Michelin-starred restaurant. Laurent, our maîte, gave the service a distinguished touch with his unique charm. Chateau Alexandra is worth a journey.

Beautiful, ornate chateau. Easy to find and park if arriving by car. Staff excellent, in particular the receptionist who checked us in (Portuguese guy) Room very comfortable, spacious and clean. Effective air con. Well equipped with gown/slippers, tea/coffee, etc. Elegant restaurant Our third stay and never disappoints!

Lacking a magnifying mirror in bathroom. Also, a bottle of water in room would have been appreciated. Very minor points as overall we had an excellent experience!

The property is incredibly beautiful and really impressive. The nearby forest, golf course and green fields are really pretty.

I liked far more the building and its fixtures, doors, windows, interior panelling, ceiling… more than the furniture which I did not like us much. The exterior with the pool and the outside terrace is gorgeous. The room decoration was convinient and well thought.

The setting of this hotel is stunning, and we had a great view of the golf course from our room. Amazing golf course on-site that's worth playing ever if you have to rent clubs. Pool is very refreshing and terrace lovely for an evening drink. The staff were very helpful and even offered us a room to shower in after golf when we had already checked out at no extra cost. Great value for money.

If you're into bright lavish decor you may find the gold and paintings a little much.

This is a beautiful property, with a stunning pool! Rooms were clean and spacious. Air conditioning was the best I’ve experienced at a hotel and staff were so friendly and helpful!!

The breakfast says it’s served until 10am, but we came at 9:30am and they had no sausages or bacon left and didn’t make any more. The eggs were also cold. More gluten free options would also be helpful. Otherwise nothing to complain about.

Rooms were very clean, opulent and spacious. Breakfast was of a very good quality. We have an evening meal at the restaurant which was excellent. Despite the fact that the hotel was short-staffed that evening (there was only one person serving to the entire restaurant) he kept a very calm head and didn’t allow that situation to impact on our meal. We only had one night there but will definitely be returning.

The only point to make was that the bathroom, which was very spacious, didn’t have sufficient places to hang towels / bathrobes.

High quality carpets,curtains, bed linen; aspects of the decor may not be to everyone's taste but suited a renovated chateau; staff were exceptionally friendly; we had one of the finest dinners we have had in recent years (and we dine out a lot) breakfast was excellent - good choice of foods available; grounds were well cared for; surrounding golf course was totally unobtrusive; there's even a swimming pool!

Our only criticism was that it was not easy to find - perhaps some instructions from the centre of the village would have been helpful.

Alexandra’s Palace Is a wonderful hotel. The service was outstanding, the locarion perfect and all the personnel were extremely kind. The decor and every detail in the rooms was unique, with great attention to detail. We enjoyed the pool, dinner and petit dejune. We will be back to this amazing place.

Beautiful palace surrounded by a golf course ( which we only realized upon arrival ) Room was brightly lit and had beautiful carpet. Bed was very good as was the shower.

Person at the reception said I took the wrong exit on the roundabout ( and I had to make a dangerous right turn from the route national to enter) I checked the next day...There is no sign on the roundabout other than a sign...Golf...If you dont know the hotel has a golfcourse...you dont take this road.

We only stayed there for one night but we would come back as well for a longer stay. SUch a beautiful setting, everything clean and well organized, outstanding service, only a few rooms which made us feel that we would be almost "exclusive". Rooms very bright and with a breathtaking view.
