One of the most beautiful places I have ever seen! The chateau is beautiful and charming and the library was our very favorite!!! The grounds were stunning, the gardens, the chapel, the flowers!!! The woods and the underground caverns were so cool!

In our rooms there was absolutely no wifi, could not make a call and my texts would not go through. This was a very expensive place to stay and for that price they should have wifi. They made a joke about it being 20 years old. They need and can put the money in to get new and better wifi. The breakfast we just had once. It was expensive for how very little you get and we had to wait a long time, very disappointing. The place really was magical besides this!

This is easily one of the coolest places I have stayed. The chateau itself is nice, but the grounds and gardens (and the Derolle exhibits, which are not mentioned on this site at all!) really made it special. We spent hours explirng and it was such a treat to have that unexpected aspect. Rooms were big (we have the 2bd/2ba apartment) Dinner and breakfasts were very good, staff was very hospitible. Would stay again in a heartbeat- esp in September when they do the tomato festival!

I found the breakfast to not be worth $16, but it was good quality. The rooms do not have air conditioning, which wouldn't be great in the heat of summer! There were also many mosquitoes, not that that's the property's fault. Also the rooms don't have a fridge or anything, which I normally wouldn't complain about but when you're out in the middle of nowhere it would be nice to at elast have a common fridge on the floor to keep milk etc.

Room was in the pavillion and was very nice, upstairs with a nice view of the front of the property, The grounds are lovely and there are many caves and underground passages to explore too.

The dinner service and wine selection was sub par for such a grand place. Food was ok. The bathroom was huge and great, but the shower head was on the tub and did not have any hooks on the wall to hold it up and there was no shower curtain around the tub, so difficult to not get water every where and difficult to take a shower one handed.

Over all it was nice property and staff was good. But I found difficulty in walking to my room which was long way from the ground floor and it produce crack sound all the way when in walk in to my room and you feel tired while walking to your room. It could have been better if the walking is less with all your bags . Remember that there was no air conditioning so you feel like warm in summer. It will be nice if you spend time there the money you are paying. For just staying a night , you don’t need this.

A beautiful location in a stunning setting. Loved the pool, felt like going back in time 30 years. Loved the Chateau. So nice to be given an opportunity to stay in such a traditional building The food at The Tomato Bar was delicious. The menu was limited but this added to the charm. Would recommend this hotel

The rooms were very hot. Air conditioning is not really practical but additional fans would be good. Tea making facilities and a mini bar in the room would be welcomed No bar at the hotel despite the lovely public areas. It's possible to get a drink but a bar would give a more sociable atmosphere. The hotel is extremely quiet and we prefer a bit more of a buzz.

Fabulous Chateau experience. The rooms are fine. But what makes this place special is the environs and opportunity to stay in a Chateau. Lovely walking/running tracks laid out in the grounds, nice (unheated) pool, and the whole tomato garden experience and tomato bar, with added dahlias, was superb. No food available on Monday night, but the hotel staff arranged a reservation for us at a lovely restaurant close by. Great pressure in the shower. Plenty of character. Pool towels available. Our second stay here, and we booked the current trip to make sure we could visit: we weren't disappointed.

Hotel is a bit of a rabbit warren. There is a rather creepy lift you can take, but stairs could be a problem for some. The tennis court needs a power wash. It is an older character property, so the "style " might not suit everyone. We paid on a Getaway deal with a Booking.com genius discount: I feel without that it would have been expensive for a three star hotel if you weren't interested in the other amenities around the property.

Beautiful domain and castle, we particularly enjoyed the drawing room and the tomato and vegetable garden. Very tasty, homey, and budget-priced dinner.

Even though the dinner is available only for the guests of the castle, somehow they don't have the capacity to accommodate everybody?! When we arrived, we were told that dinner is fully booked. We were able to join in the end because somebody cancelled, but when we went there, there were other tables available. Pretty strange... It's best to eserve a table for dinner in advance, since there aren't any other alternatives nearby.

The room was elegant with a huge bathroom with shower and claw footed tub. They had on site cook and waitstaff which was convenient. Grounds were lovely. Building was beautiful.

The dinner meals were not that exciting and were limited in quantity and quality. The staff was wonderful and we appreciated their enthusiasm. Breakfast was standard continental. Unfortunately not many food options so you had to eat out before you went back to the chateau or eat what three course meal they had that day. I’d say limited food options were the main drawback.

The place looked amazing, really well decorated and very peaceful. We enjoyed our stay here, and were positively surprised to see a garden festival happening during our stay!

Because of the garden festival, the restaurant at the accommodation was closed. Unfortunately, because we learned last minute and because of the Easter weekend, it wasn't easy to find dinner places around the hotel available...

This property exceeded our expectations, the bedrooms were beautiful whilst retaining character feature and proving a modern bathroom. I love the material on the walls & beautifully curtains. We have a balcony and a gorgeous sunset view. The rooms in the castle and the grounds are everything you hope for in a chateau. The staff were welcoming & friendly. I highly recommend staying here.

I thought the breakfast was over priced and would have preferred a buffet style.
