We were made very welcome from the moment we arrived. Our bedroom was large and the bathroom equally so. There was secure parking included. Breakfast was simple (at our request ) and Phillipe was a most congenial host. We spent ages just chatting about life in general and about the city of Tours. Language was no problem as although we speak a little French, Phillipe was good with his English (and Spanish also he said ). When we asked about finding a table at a restaurant, he suggested La Bistro du Lac some 5 minutes away. It was superb, so much so, we went the second night as well. We didn’t give ourselves enough time but there must be some amazing walks along the river which is only about 200 metres away. I would thoroughly recommend Clos du Vieux Port and will return given half a chance.

Philippe and Isabelle are a lovely couple and made are stay so enjoyable. Our room was modern, spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. It was fun chatting with our hosts and fellow guests while eating the fresh and tasty continental breakfast provided each morning. The house is well situated, making it easy to visit the many chateaux and castles in the area.

Excellent location to visit Tours and the region. Safe parking, quiet setting. Great breakfast. Safe place to leave your stuff behind. Right by the river. Host gave us lots of great tips for visiting the castles.

Wonderful friendly hosts, who offered drinks on arrival, provided a sumptuous French Breakfast and assisted with recommendations for dining in the local village. Facilities include a pool. Rooms in great condition.

Its location in the village of Veretz is difficult to find and is a 10-15 minute drive from Tours, so only suitable for guests with a car.

Our hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our fondest memory is still of having breakfast by the swimming pool and chatting to our wonderful hosts and the other guests.

The hosts were very friendly and spoke good English. We enjoyed our conversations with them. They really care about their guest's comfort. The room was very clean and well furnished. There was A/C which was greatly appreciated as we were there during a hot spell in France. The bed was very comfortable, and we had a great night's sleep. There was parking on the property. We had a wonderful stay and I highly recommend this B&B.
