A very nice hotel in a stunning location. The reception staff were most welcoming and efficient.

The desk lamp in our room was broken. This would have been perfectly apparent to whoever prepared the room. In the restaurant, we ordered a Pouilly Fumé with dinner, and they brought it in two half bottles. The first bottle was opened and poured at room temperature. Despite asking for an ice bucket three times, only the second bottle was served chilled. This was the only real negative to a fine hotel and the excellent food served in the restaurant.

Very convenient. Lovely location - good walk round the lake before dinner and nice town. Safe secure parking. Good sized room and excellent large bathroom. Great food and friendly efficient service at dinner.

Wi-Fi patchy and needed repeated log ins. Assumption of a member of staff that we were leaving without paying when we took luggage to car prior to settling our bill. Most other diners were clearly on business (no fault of the hotel!) which spoilt the ambience in a good restaurant.

In the restaurant they were not very relaxed about the seating. We would have liked to have sat by the window. Although the tables were empty they told us that they were booked however no one came to them all evening. We had to sit in the middle of the restaurant.

Nantua is a stunning location. The lake is a picture and the hotel rooms facing the lake (at a slightly higher price-but worth paying) have a view second to none. The restaurant also enjoys this aspect across the lake, as one enjoys the excellent food. We have now stayed here for three years and look forward to returning.

The location and the lake view in the restaurant and lobby were very scenic. The people at the desk were very friendly. Although restaurant is closed on Sunday (not on website?) we could preorder some salads and they were served well. Parking was also OK,

The toilet in the bathroom was in a very small space, could be an issue for some people in that room. The frogs were also quite loud at night (garden view) but some may see that as a benefit :-)

Good room. Restaurant was a pleasant experience, though service was initially a little slow. Location of the hotel could not be better. This is somewhere that we want to return to for a longer stay.

It proved impossible to use wifi on my computer, only on my phone and my wife's phone. The connection simply wouldn't allow me to sign up. On arrival, I was offered a ground floor room, though I had booked a lake view room on an upper floor. The reason given was that booking.com had only paid 83 euros. It transpired that the hotel staff had mistakenly taken £83 as 83 euros instead of 97 euros. Fortunately there was a lake view room still available.

We loved the location . The restaurant were really friendly and the food was very good . The breakfast was continental with a good choice and was good value . The hotel had parking which was essential. The views were stunning . We had a view of the lake which was lovely

I felt the room was a little small

Amazing views across the lake and to the high mountains all around. Our room was spotless with very comfortable beds, great hot shower. Compact but exactly what the traveller needs. The restaurant food is first class - really good - but they don't have enough staff serving so it's pretty slow. We were not in a rush & enjoyed it very much . Lovely people running the hotel

Room was well designed but quite small - and the whole place felt a bit clinical. Excellent shower. Good restaurant... with wonderful view over lake

One member of staff seemed to have no idea about serving drinks... Wifi was terrible - kept disconnecting and ask for details every few minutes.

Dining room has excellent views of the lake. The kitchen is very good. Cheerful staff. Plenty of free parking and an interesting collection of rugby shirts on the walls.

Although the menu was a good set of choices, it would have been pleasant to see a dish with the famous Sauce Nantua available.
