We would like to express our heartfelt thanks for the wonderfully comfortable stay at Hotel De La Croisée. The hotel in Poncin perfectly blends into the magical atmosphere of a town steeped in medieval history and the legacy of the Templars. Sofie, the owner, is exceptionally welcoming, open, and attentive to the needs of every guest. Our room had all the necessary comforts to relax and recharge for the next stages of our journey. Breakfast was delicious – the cheeses, jams, croissants, baguette, coffee, tea, and juices provided the perfect start to an energetic day. We are deeply grateful to Sofie and her father, both wonderful hosts and truly kind people. This is an extraordinary little hotel in a truly remarkable town.

The extraordinary help I received from the owners after I crashed my car whilst parking. As I do not speak french, they were with me when the car was towed away, explaining to the driver what had happened. They then took me back to the hotel, sat me down, made sure I was OK and offered me a drink. They then proceeded to spend a significant amount of time phoning my insurance company to sort out all the arrangements, including getting home . If that was not enough, they upgraded my room and, because I asked whether I would be able to watch football that evening, they said if they could not arrange it in my room I would be welcome to watch it their own home. I cannot thank them enough.

Unusual, labyrinth of beautiful rooms in the heart of the village. My room was very clean and comfortable. I enjoyed breakfast outside on the little patio. My evening meal, in the nearby brasserie was delicious. The hotel and brasserie are a real family concern and there is a warmth and welcome awaiting the tired traveller. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Very nice hotel in a very small town. Parking can be a challenge. Only a few place availble at the hotel. Public parking can be a challenge as it is a very small town. Hotel rooms can be in differnt buildings in town. Overall nice place.

QR code for the WIFI would be helpful. WIFI code in my room was not fully clear.

The breakfast was self-service and there was a good choice. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has recently been renovated to a very high standard. The restaurant in the photos of the hotel is across the road - there is another (more expensive) one inside the hotel. We had dinner in the less expensive one - it was good value.

Parking - in the square - could be a problem. There are not many spaces and the surrounding streets are very narrow so it might be necessary to park some distance away if the square is full.

Nicely renovated historic building. Our accommodation was actually 2 streets away but was adequate. Dinner offered on site with a limited menu in the “cave”. Actually surprisingly good.

Inexperienced check-in staff. Hard to find our accommodation because the room number was an odd number on the even number side of the street! Had to make 3 trips back to the main hotel before we were able to locate it.

My time in Poncin France was the best of the entire trip. The owners of the the Hotel De La Croisee are the most caring and generous couple, their attention to detail and making sure that you are well taken care of was outstanding. The meals served were 5 star quality. I cannot thank them enough and I sure hope to get back there again for another wonderful visit. Thank you both!!

Everything! Owners went the extra mile to ensure us 4 bikers were comfortable, fed and well watered! Lovely hosts, great location and fantastic facilities. Also bikers which helps. Thanks again!

Room recently well decorated with new bathroom. Since our last visit 10 years ago, Poncin has improved with expanded hotel, good choices of places to eat including Michelin starred restaurant. Lovely area, great outlet for local wines and cheeses at the edge of this small town.. Good continental breakfast.

Awful journey thur France due to Eurotunnel fiasco and freezing fog all the way thru France. Arrived at 11pm and shown rooms which were good and comfortable. Breakfast was continental but the cheeses and coissants were wonderful. A good start to the days travel
