Lovely hotel in a lovely location did not get to use the pool as it was a rainy day when we arrived. Loved our room overlooking the pool and the river across the road and had a great nights sleep. Would have loved to have had dinner outdoors but again due to the weather this wasn't possible. Dinner in their restaurant was really nice and staff very friendly and great with suggestions. Really good big supermarket not that far away either. Would certainly go back again!!

Breakfast choice could be a bit better offering both hot and cold food but it still was a nice breakfast.

Glorious and picturesque setting by the river and bridge. My room was clean and comfortable. I had a nice view across to the pool. Easy parking within the hotel grounds was a plus. I had dinner which was priced at €41 for three courses. The meal was superb and the service attentive and polished. Breakfast was good value and high quality. Travelling between northern France and Italy, this hotel is strategically placed for an excellent night-stop if you are using the Mont Blanc tunnel to enter Italy.

Great find, not one that you would naturally easily go to but when you get there fabulous! Great value for money, good sized room with small sofa, coffee tables and a chairs. Comfy beds with quirky decoration. Large swimming pool and a fabulous view of the river and bridge. The best thing was the restaurant. Again excellent value for money, delicious food and wine and very helpful and polite staff. Would defo recommend and return. Apparently they get very busy in the Summer.

Everything about the hotel was perfect - location next to the river, friendly welcoming staff, a huge room with a vintage motorcycle in the corner with accompanying quote on a Steve McQueen poster, big, comfortable bed, clean and roomy shower/bathroom, excellent value for money, for both the room and breakfast/wine. The garden and pool would have been a great place to relax were ours more than an overnight stay. We would happily book again, preferably for a longer stay! Many thanks.

Tastefully renovated old building. Large, quirky room (real motorbike in it). Large comfortable bed. Good shower. Beautiful view of the river Ain. Proper traditional french menu - both dinner and breakfast. Pool didn't open until the day we left but looked really nice.

Nothing really, but tea and coffee facilities in the room would have made it perfect - we brought a kettle with us though.

This was our fourth stay at the Faisan Dore -the accommodation is fantastic with very comfortable beds. It is conveniently located only a few miles from the autoroute. The restaurant serves excellent local cuisine, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay there again.

on this trip, we stopped twice but the welcome wasnt as warm as it usually is on arrival. perhaps a slight off day. stoppped many times before and this little blip wont stop me from wanting to stay again

Great location right above the L'Ain river. Our room was spacious and decorated with a vintage movie theme with comfortable beds and couch. The food at the restaurant was incredible - especially the steak with wild truffle sauce! Pity it wasn't warm enough for a swim because the pool area looked amazing.

Dinner was excellent on the riverside terrace plus a very chirpy and knowledgeable waitress. Breakfast was very generous.

The bathroom had one or two small problems that could have been easily fixed - I suspect that the cleaning staff either did not notice or forgot to report them. The room was very hot (in the eaves) but very comfortable.

Good location for stop over on way back from Alps. Room was very big with view over river. Decor a bit dated but beds comfortable. Fronts onto road but was not busy and was quiet overnight. Breakfast was good with standard French pastries, bread and cakes, coffee and juice. Hotel has a restaurant which was good and definitely a bonus not to have to go out looking for a restaurant.
